One of the best & most expensive Dutch movies ever came online today. Also known as “Black Book” this movie is a story about a girl living through the World War II. The movie was in the Dutch cinemas months ago and comes now International in all over the World. I might try this version of the movie, just because I speak the languages (NL, Eng, Ger, Hebrew), oops, I don’t speek Hebrew. The only thing that isn’t pretty is the FS of this, I will wait 1-2 days, I’m sure they will come out with a WS release.

A relentlessly gripping thriller about the Dutch underground, “Black Book” is set in the early fall of 1944. The film marks master director Paul Verhoeven’s return to his native Netherlands after a stellar run of unforgettable films in Hollywood (”Basic Instinct,” “Starship Troopers”). Revisiting the action filled World War II subject matter of his 1977 Dutch drama “Soldier of Orange,” “Black Book” is based on true events that span nearly a year around Rachel Stein (Carice van Houten) a young, pretty Jewish woman who falls for a high-ranking Gestapo officer (Sebastian Koch) while seeking revenge for her family’s murders. Starring some of the Netherlands’ most impressive and famous actors, the multi-layered characters find themselves embroiled in a spider’s web of intrigue, treachery and betrayal. “Black Book” is a highly stylized film suffused with the intense paranoia Verhoeven evokes so well, where friend and enemy blur together into an indistinguishable line.

    the language is a mixture but mainly dutch
    there are subs though (strange for english ppl i think ;) to watch with subs)

    WTF is up with these FS releases? I thought the advent of the DVD abolished all those crappy FS VHS’s that we used to get in the 90’s (lol I remember having to pay more for a WS VHS than its FS variant)..
    Nice movies, no question, but I find it very surprising that studios are doling out even R5’s and DVDSCR’s in FS.. as I said, I thought this behaviour had been abolished some time ago..

    “Starring some of the Netherlands’ most impressive and famous actors”… Who the f*$k would that be then because just like a Dutch War Hero, we haven’t heard of any. (By the way did you know the dutch army has only one gear in its tanks… REVERSE). Do you know why there are trees down the sidewalks in mainland Europe? So the Germans could walk in the shade.

    wat is the best dvd converter i use the cucusoft one and it dosnt allow me 2 put 2 disks on 1 dvd which 1 do u guys use 2 do this thanks in advance

    I’ve downloaded Zwartboek 4 times and by some misfortune got 4 the same rar’s with a password from some German pornsite who requested me to download a bittorrent.exe I cannot open on a Mac.
    If this one is the same crap, I swear I’ll hunt down that @$#*&^%$!! s.o.b and strangle him !!

    als je namelijk kijkt bij de russen hebben ze vandaag een dvdrip gereleased, dat is hier r5, de telecine die door anbtix, lrc, hafvcd, FCR, is in rusland ook als telecine gereleased!

    yeah I can only find dutch sub’s, hardly surprising considering its in four languages..

    umm if anyone can do it from the dutch ones, I recommend URUSoft’s Subtitle Workshop, but umm heck no just go through the dutch ones in notepad and replace the text

    this is the best sub database imho
