ZitZot: SilverPac SilverFrame, slightly better picture frame
SilverPac have announced their SilverFrame Advanced Digital Picture Frame (ADPF) at Computex 2009, and as the name might suggest this is miles apart from the cheap photo display you can find in Best Buy bargain bins. The ADPF runs Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 and supports Windows SideShow and Windows Live FrameIt for displaying online content on its 10.1-inch 1024 x 576 touchscreen.

What that means is that the frame will not only show local photos, play video and stream music from across a network, but it can sync with your calendar, show emails and allow for replies, and view photos from Picasa, Photobucket, Facebook and a Windows Live account. Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, infrared (for the remote control), a multiformat memory card slot and both full-sized USB and a micro-USB port.

Windows? Thanks, but no thanks!
How much did SilverPac pay RLSlOG for this advert/article?
Sounds and looks more like a giant ipod from windows lol
what his other pluggables do for me for $200 per hour is the real question.
Is this REALLY a digital picture frame? At what point does a gadget get loaded with some much other functionality that it snuffs out digital frame function.
Picture frames (typically) sit in the background of our lives.
Can't help but think of the design philosophy "Form follows function." and wondering maybe this one missed that target.

So uh…it's essentially a tiny LCD TV then. Once you start integrating streaming video, it's gone far beyond the "picture frame" mold.
