Everyone here has a opinion and most of them are fanboy talking out of their asses. You can list all the spec of the PS3 it still doesn't prove the system is any better then the 360 at the moment. I think its so sad that people actually waste their time on this issue. Blah blah blah just admit there is only a few games on the PS3 that is worth playing. 400-500 dollars for a fricking George Foreman looking grill that plays blue-ray. Sad part is I own one lol.

Maybe you should check your facts before posting.

The 1st ever native 1080p console game was a PS3 launch title from Namco Bandai called Ridge Racer 7 (which also runs at 60fps). Native 1080p gaming came to the 360 six months after the PS3 launched, the first was Virtua Tennis 3 (which was also native 1080p on the PS3).

Since then, the 360 has received very few native 1080p games (about 10 in total) and most of them are from XBLA.

The PS3 has around 40 games, both retail and PSN which are native at 1080p, and I'm not even including WipEout HD in that figure.

MGS4 wasn't 720p, it was 768p (1024×768). That was one of the compromises made for trying to fit such a large game to fit on a BD50, even without the Japanese audio.

Also, the 360's GPU (if you know your GPU's, then you know that the 360's chip is an R500 which is a lower spec ATI 512MB X1800, whilst the PS3's RSX is an overclocked Nvidia 256MB 7800GTX) isn't what makes it perform better than the PS3 in most (not all) multiplatform games, it's the eDRAM attached to the GPU (as well as code choices during game design).

PS3 1st party exclusives speak for themselves about what can be done on a console. Even MS had to admit that Killzone 2 was better looking than any game currently available for the 360, and Uncharted 2 looks even better.

@50/51 You obviously don't know what you are talking about. 1600p is a resolution of 2560×1600 with progressive scan. A PC can run games at this resolution whilst consoles currently max out at 1920×1080.

I can't stand playing at 30fps though. I don't know how these console kiddies do it. Sh*t graphics, low FPS, poor controls. Guess you don't have much of a choice when you have to ask your mom to buy your toys

As for the original topic, the new MGS title is not 360 exclusive. When interviewed, they said that they never said that it was. It was just a misleading publicity stunt

I was thinking about getting a PS3 last year, but I'm really starting to have second thoughts now. It's obvious that Sony won't be able to catch up to X360 this generation, but I was hoping they'll at least be able to hold on to its 3rd part franchises. Add to that the billions lost on the hardware, and Sony is in a really dire situation, to that point that a few more wrong moves can send PS3 down the way of the Dreamcast.

Oh please Mr MyPCsnoodleislargerthanurs and anyone else that think like him… How can you say Xbox360 or PS3 have better graphics than the PC?

Just look the graphics comparison between all the three systems here: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6202552/index.html just to see who's the boss when you talk about graphics.

I don't discuss about the amount of games in consoles and pc, but when you talk about graphics none of the consoles can't show anything compared with a good PC with a good video card like GTX 295…

to think of it ps3 has 0 games native 1080p mgs4 vas 720 and top of that it had fps drops alot. Xbox360 has better gpu ps3 better processor(s) what makes that ps3 can stuff more in screen thats however nothing compared to 4870×2/gtx295 abilities to play in hd. Top of that both consoles has their games dunno why u kids are raging all over if u have job what stops you buying both of em ?
