Zeitgeist The Movie STV DVDRip XviD-CULTXviD

I have been waiting some time for the scene quality release of this great film, namely because the site offers this video as a downloadable version in 1CD xvid format. CULTXVID is not a huge group with many releases everyday, but they do tend to try and release good films instead of crappy ones. Something to note, wikipedia is pretty biased (and censored) when it comes to films like these (example of discussion). The current wikia article can be found here. The film comes in 2CD format with a high bitrate and AC3 audio. When the rls reaches torrents or usenet I’ll update with the snaps and torrent link.

Zeitgeist The Movie is a film by Peter J. exploring the relationship between Christianity, the September 11 attacks and the Federal Reserve Bank. It was released in 2007 on Google Video and is available for free distribution. It is achieving notoriety very quickly, as of July 15th 2007 a specific google search shows 167,000 hits.

Divided into three parts, (Part I: “The Greatest Story Ever Told”, Part II: “All The World’s A Stage”, and Part III: “Don’t Mind The Men Behind The Curtain”), Zeitgeist is designed to prompt the audience into questioning their own beliefs on the subjects of US involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Christian theology, the Federal Reserve System, and the decreasing status of personal freedoms in the United States of America due to introductions of laws and organizations such as The Department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act.

Conservative thinkers, those who tend to believe that the “old ways” are the best, that god created the world a few thousand years ago, etc. have recently been shown to have different brains to left wing brains.

Scientists re-affirm the obvious fact that right wingers *REALLY* find it very hard to accept new ideas. http://www.latimes.com/news/science/la-sci-politics10sep10,0,5982337.story

It may boil down to self preservation of the ego: If all your ancestors, customs, traditions and rulers have told you christ is the one true god, 9/11 was a straightforward terrorist attack, we live in a “free” world, dominated by freewill and Heinlan’s Razor, etc…

THEN evidence comes along suggesting that some of your beliefs could be invalid.

YOur survival instinct kicks in to protect your brains from new ideas.

We can’t have the whole house of cards coming down can we???

“expansive foreign policy” is code for Occupation of Sovereign States in contravention of UN Mandates…not bad tenets??Really??I would argue to the contrary…..invading sovereign States is what Hitler did….can you see the parallels??

As for your delusion that you respect your countries standing in the World….What world are you referring too?….You sure dont have much standing in the World I live M8!!
You say you dont understand why the majority of the World hates the policies??
Give that point some thought tonight\tomorrow as you lie in the bath….and please dont believe everything your govt tells you as we all know Govts lie big time….
i’m from Oz incidentally…one of your Coalition of the Willing crowd(sadly)…
Care to offer a reason why your leader refused to testify under oath at the 911 Comm….you seem to be skirting around that one….uncomfortable with it perhaps??

“”I am not some crackpot “wacko” … but i have serious reservations about the “official story”.”"

Then have them. Have reservations about the 9/11 commission. However you can do this without recommending people read websites and watch movies that contain blatant, obvious lies that nobody can credibly defend.

The question becomes why don’t you have more reservations about the “alternate story”. The one that varies between claiming no planes hit buildings, real planes with bombs on them, the WTC fell from the bottom, the hijackers are still alive, etc etc etc.

Can you imagine what the 9/11 commission report would have to say to lie this blatantly? Perhaps it would have to say that there were only 3 planes. And this is the horse you back. LOL.

My, what short memory you have Alfie!!
Bush and co initially refused a Commission..point blank!!WHY??
Why did they not want to get to the bottom??”

Which Bush would this be? The one who had been warned that al Qaeda was planning to attack the US before they did, failed to prevent it and 3000 American civialians died on US soil as a result?

Yeah let’s all wonder why he wasn’t keen on that being investigated and blame getting pinned. What’s next, are you going to ask why Bush has lied about things as though this isn’t part of the job description for politicians, just like cover up of failures is?

Oh I get it surfer. You thought I didn’t answer your question about why Bush wasn’t keen on having an investigation. Give my post another read and I think you’ll find I did.

There is no such thing as a human being who would voluntarily want to create an investigation into a fkup they presided over, let alone a politician. It has never happened in the history of mankind and never will.
How hard is that to figure out?
Better yet, what are you doing trying to grapple with more difficult questions of motivation and interests in regard to the 9/11 attacks if even this is beyond you?

And yet it’s the 9/11 Truth movement and supporters like yourself who for 6 years have been baffled, just baffled by such concepts as plane vs not, alive hijackers vs not, WTC collapse from top vs bottom, plane debris in photos vs none.

It’s generous to even refer to these as “comprehension problems” given that they involve nothing more advanced than looking at something and acknowledging what is there. 6 years and counting. Yeah tell us who else has problems comprehending evidence. LOL.

And what pathetic sorry arse bunch of smacktards you are. Even by conspiracy theorist standards you are fantastically lame.

You don’t find JFK conspiracy theorists claiming someone planted explosives in JFKs head to blow it up for an unspecified reason that wouldn’t have changed what happened when he got shot (hello controlled demolition fans).

Never. Not once in 45 years do we see something this ridiculous. Yet this is a core, common, inwaivering belief of your conspiracy theory.

Do you never stop to wonder why you never see such lame and pointless claims as your own floated in regard to other conspiracy theories?
It’s because those people, paranoid and distrustful as they are, have at least *some* self respect, intellectual integrity and common sense.

Character traits you and your fantasy fan club are totally devoid of. Seriously, you’re like a bunch of nerds who watched the X-files 10 years ago and are still pretending it was reality tv. The word “lame” really doesn’t do you justice.

Well I donno how they could have flown into the buildings in those planes, especially the second impact on WTC with such precision, I mean a plane is not a car those of you that ever flew or are a little more aware than the rest of the people. Its a Boeing 767, and you cant just control it like an F 16 with precision to I donno what, and lets face it those Saudis and Egyptians or whoever they were were training on Cessnas and you absolutely cannot come off a Cessna and start flying B767 and turn around in it and fly it so precisely into a building.

I mean Atta was turning to the side when he hit the WTC tower, and a person who flew knows that a plane of that size cannot be flown so professionally by someone who just learned how to fly.

Just a comment to those that really think that theory that those hijackers learned how to fly a Cessna and then controlled the planes with such precision. People should do just a little more research.

I realize we’ve beat this subject to death, I was just reading through your posts about you being from Australia, and seeing you spell the word Republican with a “K”, and I just had to ask what that is supposed to mean, and how it is that someone who is not an American has such a hatred to one particular political party of America?

I don’t even know how the political lines are drawn in Australia, and certainly wouldn’t concern myself so much with trying to demonize a political group that I couldn’t even vote for or against.

    alfred…
Yes, we will have to agree to disagree on this one….
Sadly, my hatred stems from the US foreign policy which i happen to disagree with…
How the Republikan Party chooses to conduct its policies internally(excluding issues of Human Rights)is of NO concern of mine…but when its External Policies have such huge ramifications upon others I think it only human to feel resentment and anger…
I think you misinterpreted my comments earlier re. Clinton…I am No Democrat either, obviously, nor have I defended his Policies …but nomatter what your sentiments are for Clinton and what he did regarding his Foreign Policies, nothing conpares to Bush’s.
I believe the US had alterior motives when it invaded Iraq, and the subsequent and continued suffering inflicted upon its people is a disgrace and a black mark that I believe will be remembered in History.
I have no issues with Americans,on the contrary, but its Bullyboy approach to the rest of us leaves a lot to be desired.
As for your suggestion that you couldnt be concerned trying to demonize a party you couldnt even vote for is your decision…but I really dont believe you have some moral high ground that i should use to decide what i should do…

The US govt even disagrees with you….they love demonising political groups that they couldnt even vote for or against….thats the problem here,do as I say not as i do…

I cant vote for or against the Burmese Junta either, but I can have an opinion on their brutal methods,as you surely do too…see what i mean??

I’ve already seen this months before. Old news.

Interesting documentary. Very ‘persuasive’ but sadly misconstrued. Esp the Christian/Pagan comparison, which has been around for centuries. One of the big things is that:

#1 Christians don’t actually believe that Christ was born on December 25th, but decided to celebrate it that day. That alone proves the doco’s material is dubious, poorly researched, and extremely unreliable. The author’s clearly manipulating data to contrive arguments and evidence.

#2 It is only the success of the Roman Catholic Church to fuse pagan practices and Roman culture together with Christian doctrine and theology that gives the “extra baggage” to Christianity even though there a few things the Catholic Church correctly intepreted, like the Nicene Creed.

#3 The documentary isn’t taking into account the fact that the mystery religions (like Horus, Osiris-Dionysus) were (more) grounded in Plato’s worldview while the Gospels and Paul are rooted in the Old Testament, so despite the “astonishing similarities” between Greek/Egyptian stories and the Jesus of the Gospels, every single word means something completely different.

#4 The dilemma of the 911 conspiracy: the doco definitely proved that USA, military and corporations, among other conspirators, are capable of global conspiracy by emphasizing that other forces other than the Al-queda terrorists, are behind everything, yet failing to consider that a more realistic, less exciting alternative maybe the zeolot Muslim fundamentalists.

You’ve maybe been hearing for years about the various elements of society who control our world from behind the scenes. The Jews, the Bankers, the illuminati? How are they all tied together?

I haven’t watched it yet, because I hate movies that persuade you into thinking whatever they wish by using “facts” and meaningless statistics. As far as I’m concerned, anything that we know historically is as much fiction as it is fact.

Even if conspiracy theorists are right, they are still wrong. If I do watch this movie it will be purely for entertainment value. It’s really amazing when you sit back and realize how convincing people can be when they mold their argument to fit the exact point they want to put across.

    Hmmmmmmm
    a) This isn’t a “political” forum.
    b) Most of us (I hope) are both educated and old enough to make up our own minds over issues like this. It’s not like these kind of films (or any or the “Michael Moore-esqe” genre) are going to give us an epiphany and we’ll all become corporation-hating, tie-dye T-shirt wearing hippies overnight.
    c) This site is not the place to discuss the content of the movie. I certainly don’t care who likes, dislikes, agrees with or disagrees with and moreover could not care less about your own views on the subject. I will watch the movie and make up my own free and educated mind based on the information provided both here (in the movie) and from other sources for AND against any points raised in the movie.
    d) To base your entire political standpoint on the strength of one or two movies is completely and utterly ridiculous (although it saddens me to know that there are many people who do).
    e) The best place to download this from, is the homepage of the creators. The torrent is extremely fast :)

    peace all ;)
