YL Computing WinUtilities v6.0-HERiTAGE

WinUtilities is as its name says collection of useful utilities which helps you to keep your PC well optimized. It looks like a pretty good TuneUp Utilities ripoff if you ask me. Hmm, maybe is TuneUp ripoff of this? Ahh, what a heck when it’s free… :D

Description:

WinUtilities is an award winning collection of tools to optimize and speedup your system performance. this suite contains utilities to clean registry, temporary files on your disks, erase your application and internet browser history, cache and cookies. you can control startup programs that load automatically with windows, find duplicate files, fix broken shortcuts and uninstall unneeded software. other features include secure file deletion, recycle bin shredding, cleaning tasks scheduling and undelete deleted files.

Looks just like WinOptimizer Platnium which is a really good program. I prefer Vista Manager since Vista doesn’t automatically set your physical memory cache or the CPU L2 cache properly by default. It makes a HUGE difference.

actually, this is a ripoff of Tune-Up, which is still the best of this type of software.

I’m using both Tuneup Utilities and Registry Mechanics and the layout of this look very much as Registry Mechanic, the top bar is almost identical.

there’s really nothing in this app that you can’t already do with your regular operating system, all it does is delete temp files, reg fixes and simple things like that, all stuff that is easily done with existing apps in XP and in Vista. it’s ok for noobs who can’t find those things though i guess

    @ joeblow

Dont talk wet, Its not just for noobs.

Its for convenience, ie having all the optimizing tools in one place. I myself use TuneUp and its a great collection of utillities, yes i have all the seperate apps aswell but its good to have all the needed apps in one place.
