geez... anyway, I like this app allready , tried it for 30 seconds. I personaly don't feel comfortable with TotalCommander's interface. I'm picky with apps, but I'm willing to give this one a shot and dropped it into my quicklaunch. Now only time can tell.
But man, talk about off-topic in here.. just let the people know you like's and dislikes on this particular tool instead of showing off your choice.

Total Commander is still the best file manager. period. All new
things that come along have at least 1 flaw in them. i.e. dont work for more than a mounth, too bloated, etc.

Questions for "Total Commander" or "XYplorer" users?

With *one* click on a button in "Directory Opus" 8.1...

1 - It opens a new tab.
2 - List all pics or videos I have in my digital camera card folder in that tab.
3 - Selects all.
4 - Copy them to a folder I previously choose in my Hard Disk.
5 - Opens that folder in a new tab.
6 - Show me the files being copied in that folder.
7 - Focus the camera card tab again.
8 - Selects all files.
9 - Asks me if want to delete them.
10 - Show me all files being deleted.
11 - Focus the files copied tab again.
12 - Selects all new files.
13 - Opens the preview window only for the selected files.

And can I create a menu with previously made filters items like:

Firefox extensions and themes
--
Texts I can edit
Texts - read only
--
Images only
Compacted Images
Raw Images
--
Audios only
--
Videos only
FLV files
Movies and subtitles
--
Audios and Videos only
Images and Videos only
--
EXEs
Zip/Rar
--
TODAY
THIS WEEK
THIS MONTH

or anything else I wanted?

One more: I click a button with my pic as icon and it closes all tabs and opens tabs with all 14 folders I usually use. When my sister clicks a button with her pic, DOpus do the same for all the folders she uses. And I can do that using double pane.

Can those file managers do those things?

I need to find another good file manager because Directory Opus serials and patches works only for a couple of months and the version I'm using right now is still working after one year... a miracle!

But time passes and Vista came out and I have to have something good to work with Vista, in case I have to change the OS.

Thanks in advance,
Tonal.

So two questions with this xyplorer

1) When I click on the torrent link, it indicates that Newtorrents cannot find such a file. So does Newtorrents have it or not?

2) I'm currently trying the v6.7 of this app and I can't find how to do content search. Anyone know how to do that?

Thanks.

Tried it it's faster than Windows Explorer but it ain't worth the money.

If you want a good file manager use WINDOWS EXPLORER with Quizo's Toolbars which includes:
TABS
Navigation buttons
Vista-like Search Feature
File preview
IT'S FREE

Here's the link:

@7/Prestige: riiiite. *cough* So how to do SiteCommands with Opus? Ok, Opus can multirename...nice colorfull GUI...is there an aquapill skin? *lol* ...no, seriously TCMD is THE tool for filemanagement. Go ask people that really use computers and not just copy their p2p downloads from c:/kazaa/ to d:/prondump/

This is what i'm currently using and i love it. Once you have it set up the way you like it of course. Few less features than Directory Opus but still 10 times better than Windows Explorer and no install needed which is a + in my book.
