Bram: Yep, Unleashed strikes again. This time with a rally game; Xpand Rally Xtreme. I don’t know what to think about this one, it looks kinda crappy but hey, it might be good. Xpand Rally Xtreme is the sequel to Xpand Rally. The new game features a chilling adrenaline rush racing spree: tracks designed according to hundreds of authentic special stages from real life, rally races full of moguls, jumps, grooves and tight hairpins, and an even greater sense of raw power. And yes, we ARE in the original NFO :) .

Xtreme sequel of Xpand Rally features: new car groups, extreme rally tracks, expanded economical-tuning plot, additional game modes and realism of driving known from original Xpand Rally. This time players will compete for the champion title on picturesque special stages and tracks in China, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, Ireland and Poland. Xpand Rally Xtreme has all the best elements of first part in an Xtreme release.

All players looking for real-life car racing emotions are sure to be satisfied, while inexperienced gamers whose contact with the racing genre was limited to street racers will be able to broaden their perspective with this new, extremely dynamic title.

Increasing the dynamics of the gameplay does not mean that the game will be harder then its predecessor. The developers were not trying to make the game more sim-like, so XRX will stay true to its predecessor’s high replay value. XRX is still addressed to the same group of gamers. Especially the arcade mode will stay true to the original, with the only exception that this time around player’s will have to operate the gas pedal a bit more carefully. The simulation mode in turn will be a completely new experience, with the word Extreme really changing everything.

Xpand Rally Xtreme boasts a wide array of 15 cars in 23 versions, including 8 completely new models, 5 sceneries (China, Malaysia, Italy, Japan, USA) and 67 individual races.

The game has 3 modes of play: Career mode, Single Race and Multiplayer. The career mode require players to advance into ever more tough races in order to grab the best driver title. You won’t be able to achieve that without constantly upgrading your car and buying new vehicles. New features of the career mode include parallel races on the super special segments and a Free Style race against demanding AI controlled opponents. Players will get to drive around in rally cars, huge 4×4 off-roaders and – surprise – exotic sports cars for classic, flat-track races.

    This is quite a nice game you know :P I already played it a while back, but it is quite fun to play :) It gives a more arcade feel which is nice :)

    Learn to crack, losers! EMUDVD is not even a real scene category, Unleashed made it up! At least if they released CLONEDVDs instead of this gay EMUDVD shit, they would have the scene’s respect. Unleashed should be scene-banned!

    This game is great! no idea why mod said it looks crappy as it’ one of the best aspects in this game:) Big thanks to unleashed as this one comes with the unfortunate starforce if I remember correctly.

    yeah the game was released as rip back in may 2007, with non english speech ripped.

    “Please note that video cards that do not support T&L in hardware do not fully meet the games minimum spec and will therefore suffer performance issues. The game requires video card with Pixel Shader 2.0.

    Too bad Xpand Rally Xtreme uses starforce for protection, We all know that starforce has been blamed for everything from system slowdowns to non- functioning DVD Drives, I love these kind of games but I stay away cuz of the starforce issues.

    My report: Installed, try out one track with FULL options and 80 fps. sadly the camera is jerking all the way.. i use the farest cam. and the motor-sound is after 2 minits boring…

    Unleashed is a good group, they get some games out faster, and if you know how to work emudvd’s, they’re as good as the cracked releases.

    Is this better than Colin Mcrae DIRT or can you compare these games at all? I liked Dirt very much, not so realistic car physics though. Richard Burns Rally is still one of the best Rally games ever! Looking for something similar with updated graphics.
