X3 Terran Conflict CLONEDVD-PROCYON

Just released a few mintues ago X3 Terran Conflict the latest space trading/combat game. Ive never played any of the other “X” series games but i use to love games like this years and years ago, especially “Wing commander: Pirvateer” so i think ill give this a go since i havent played a good space trading kinda game in a very very long time, enjoy the release!

X3: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X3. It is the culmination of the X trilogy, with a grand finale that takes us all the way back to Earth’s own solar system. Gamers can take on the roles of different characters in the X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever featured — for X3: Terran Conflict will offer more missions than any other X game before. Meanwhile, X3: Terran Conflict will pose questions such as: How has Earth changed in all these years? And how will relations between Earth and its counterparts in the X universe develop?

Compared to X3: Reunion, Terran Conflict features a larger universe, more ships, and entirely new missions which were created though the new Mission Director system. The flight control using a mouse was improved and the interface reworked to feature a new context menu system. The Terran faction was added with their own set of gigantic stations, powerful ships and technology. Many new weapons systems were developed such as smart swarm missiles and ships with multiple missile turrets.

    I felt I should wait for Dead Space before Far Cry 2, since their release dates are a day apart, but the issue with that game is it doesn’t have a crack. I know if a group releases it they’ll do a crack too, but at this point there’s already a copy going around.

    There is a CloneDVD out already on Piratebay, altough there is a crack needed too because of online activation.

    it’s not a clone (i know cuz i DLd it), it’s just a regular image file made by Alcohol, and is only useful to install the game. I did it, and am waiting for the crack, or I’ll just DL this image too and play with this one :D

    The one on piratebay was not made with Daemon Tools Pro last version, but with Alcohol120. There is no way to make it work without a crack, but that’s not because of any online activation.

    The one from Procyon will (hopefully) allow you to play with DTPro last version installed.

    My problem atm is that i cant find any tracker for this release, nor is it on Usenet…

    This so called Far Cry 2 release most likely isn’t the full version. You can be sure that nothing will be done after 24th of October. This is the day when Far Cry 2 supposedly will be launched officially. After that it’s possible to get a bit more correct information.

    How to know it’s not full? Well, take a look at the editor. Extremely a lot of content is missing. Not to mention other things. For example, Securerom is checking for date, not CD. Priority is wrong. First comes CD check and then date, if anything at all.

    We can sum it all up and come to conclusion that there’s some time to wait. Three days isn’t that much either.

    Also, it would be nice to hear comments about this specific game instead of Far Cry 2. Has anyone played it? How it feels? Graphics and so on.

    FarCry 2 CloneDVD is only a demo with 4 missions and the map editor it is not the full game, wait for the reloaded release.

    That’s some expert commentary, but you don’t seem to realize it’s checking the date because this copy of Far Cry 2 was leaked before release. It IS copy protection, in a more limited way.

    Hope they made this one a bit simpler than the earlier ones. I played X2 a bit and just felt a bit complex even tough i’ve played lots of games starting from larry 1 long long time ago :)
    Anyone tested this yet? Is it much better or exacly the same with just more stuff in it?

    offtopic. i seen you guys been wishing for lots of other games but no one has mentioned Fallout 3 that should come in the end of this month.

    i haven’t played it yet, but based on the gameplay videos and the looks of X3 – Reunion, grphics will undoubtedly be awesome (unfortunately, as with X3 – Reunion, this game will probably need a pretty strong CPU, cuz it eats up a lot of computing power), and as for the feel of it, if you haven’t played X3- Reunion or at least any of the older versions, it will be hard to get used to. but when you do, you’ll realise what an awesome game it is, and regret that it doesn’t have a multiplayer component.

    Yes, well question about graphics was a bit unnecessary. It’s a next-gen game. Of course it looks good. I was more interested in performance. Does visual details and graphical calculations are done using GPU ( Graphics Process Unit ) or CPU ( Central Process Unit )? The thing is that I have a budget card, but AMD 6400+. Games like Stalker what rely heavily on GC ( Graphics Card ) will run, but not good, but games like Crysis will run great, because many calculations are done by the CPU not GPU.

    Recommended GC is :
    # 256 MB 3D DirectX 9 Compatible video card (not onboard) with Pixel Shader 3.0 support

    GF8600GT 256MB theoretically should be enough. Well, 128-bit memory interface is quite low. So, if at all there will be long loading times ( mostly textures ).

    Even so, it’s worth to try it ;) . With nowadays internet speed it wont even take a few days to get it.

    I bought the game a week ago – and it rocks! (played 30+ hours now)

    So if you play it and INVEST much time to learn how it works – you will enjoy it!

    And if you like it buy it. Egosoft is very small and makes the games they like – in a world dominated by EA and Microsoft thats a good thing, so please appreciate it.

    Yes.. as I said.. I saw that key file also.. but did you actually TRY it? I would.. I have a clean DTP-free OS right now.. but I’m torrenting a rather large torrent on BN right now and can’t stop and reboot. The author’s instructions say to drop the two other files (not the key) into the install directory (same as the last version).. then register offline (same as the last version).. then it will generate a key (same as the last version). The base crack files for older versions sometimes DO work for later ones.. especially when it’s only the next one up.. or perhaps he may have even altered the two files. Opening the key up in notepad and reading what it says proves nothing. I DID see that same key file in my last cracked version (0218).. doesn’t mean the files won’t work.

    The entire thing is mal-free so it can’t hurt to actually TRY. .. I’ll try it myself later tonight as soon as I finish this initial seed.

    Why would Procyon release a game only claiming that it would work with the LATEST vers of DTPro.. knowing that no one has it.. or can crack it yet?

    there aren’t any files named like the crack files in the directory, they prolly changed the composition of the dlls.
    just to make sure, i only had lite installed before so instaling the trial went without a hitch. the problem here is, that this new version requires you to enter a license (or choose trial) even before the installation is complete (several core files install after you activate it).

    I’m pretty sure either guys from Reloaded, Vitality or Razor will make a good NoDVD crack. Just don’t go and download crap from P2P networks until it hasn’t be released by one of these groups. I got the game, and now waiting for the magic key to make it work. =) Oh and I really do intend to buy it afterwards.

    1. install DTPro4300303.exe from the rar in Daemon Tools Pro 4.30.0303 Advanced-DARK0D3R\DTP4300303-EV and choose the trial advanced
    2. (here’s where it got foggy for me so i went my own way with it) run DAEMON Tools Agent (tray icon) and enable a vIDE drive (ull see it under Right click/Virtual CD/DVD-ROM/Add Virtual IDE Drive) and close DAEMON Tools
    3. copy this line (without the “) “127.0.0.1 secure.disc-soft.com” into your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file (open it with Notepad and simply add it a another line at the bottom)
    4. run DTPro4300303.exe from Daemon Tools Pro 4.30.0303 Advanced-DARK0D3R\DTP4300303PRO and install it, except that this time, when the activation window pops up, click the license (dunno the real name, its the one that isnt the trial ;) ), and the software key, that will open a new window to browse for DT license keys. on the bottom right corner change the search mode to all files, and then select “dtproAdv-key-1.4300302″ as the key.
    5. enter an email and optionally a name and activate it. it should say that it had a problem connecting, so just click retry (that did it for me).
    6. during this installation you will probably get a lot of read/write errors, but just click ignore on them.
    7. copy “ext.dll” to your installation folder (probably C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Pro\) and run DAEMON Tools. it should be a legit version of Pro Advanced now.

    Ok, well, the DT Pro version works fine, now I don’t have this PROCYON release, I got another one from the rapidshare lnks posted above. When executing X3TC, it always requires to have TAGES protection installed. The game still won’t launch even with image mounted in IDE drive…

    Well, it seems that I got a Procyon release, I downloaded the exact same number of files, they’ve just been re-uploaded by a small group under another name but it’s the Procyon release.     Note: ONLY the PROCYON image works ! There’s another one floating around (X3TC.mds/mdf). This one is NOT a working clone !! Different file-size, different MDS and not done with DT. Only for installation, not for playing.

    If you got the Procyon image, fire up newest DTPro, install X3 and have fun ’till a working crack appears. Previous X-games were f**ing well protected and caused strange effects like self-destruction of ships or disappearing money. Or… wait about one more year (hey ! There’s Far Cry 2 and a ton of XB360 games out now ;) ) and BUY a much cheaper X3-DVD including the official no-cd patch. I bought all X games and only the very old X-BtF/XT are still without nocd-patch, but with a working mini-image. IMHO the *best* Elite-style game on the market :)

    I installed the dameon tools on vista 32bit with no problems and the game installed (took ages) but the game is still asking me to insert the origional disk.

    I think allt he image files out there are not able to launch the game properly.

    I finally got it working after it kept giving me the ‘Insert Original DVD’ message. I had previously installed DT Lite, which I had uninstalled after adding DT Pro, but apparently that wasn’t good enough. What I ended up doing is:

    1. Uninstall DT Pro

    3. Run a registry cleaner (CCleaner & IOBit advanced systemcare v3)

    2. Uninstall the SPTD driver (look it up on google)

    4. Reboot

    5. Reinstall DT Pro as per its instructions.

    6. Game should now work when you try to run it.

    Note, I patched the game up to v1.2 and installed the TAGE driver when prompted. Works no problem.

    The purpose is to play with an image of an original game… too ! ( not downloading the whole game !) to not burn the original disk (DVD’s lifetimes are not mucho)… that’s why a crack is needed, just because gamers do prefers running games with Harddrives, especially gamers with good HD…

    This thing is working…. just ignore the virus detection when installing daemon tools pro 4.30 so disable your antivirus first., also you need to signup an account at disc soft http://www.disc-soft.com/. This only works with daemon tool pro 4.30… aint working with any other software….
    I played it and test it…kinda bit boring at 1st when playing it but fatastic as u play more….

    Ok, I did manage to get it to work, though I downloaded a trial version of Daemon Tools Pro from the website because I didn’t trust the torrents due to the virus ridden copies floating around.     This game is STILL not properly cracked now.. it’s been out for 2 months now.. and I’m beginning to think it never will.

    I have tried everything.

    I have installed the semi-cracked “darkcoder” (BTW.. not the REAL DK who cracks all “paul.dll” games.. just a wanabee) version of the latest DTPro (definitely needed); but after a week or so (even if you have the ‘call home” firewalled) the program disables itself because it CAN’T do a license check. There simply ISN’T a 100% working version of DTPro v4.3.03 out yet.

    You CAN install the game using DT Lite though.. and you CAN actually run it by using the “CPU slowdown” method discussed in various torrent threads.. but inevitably.. in game somewheres.. TAGES picks up on the fact that it has been fooled and your ship simply randomly explodes! Once that’s happened.. it knows better from there on out and every time you restart a save.. you blow up again.. though not in the same place.

    I guess the “scene” doesn’t really care about this title.. or really and truly isn’t talented enough to crack it (and no.. I’m NOT “childishly” trying to “call them out” on it). Either way.. I’ll just buy the freekin’ game as soon as it comes out as hardcopy in the US.. after all.. I bought all the others.

    I’m happy to report and can also confirm that the latest method worked! The game will now play with the LATEST version of DT Lite (4.30.2). I also used the latest version of YASU gotten off of GCW (1.5.8111). I played for an hour and a half solid and had no ship blow-ups.. so I don’t think TAGES is detecting a virtual drive (.. so far). After all that.. I even made a mini-image (mounted Procyon image in DT, opened the drive in UltraISO [UI CAN'T read the protected image directly] and removed main data files and resaved as new MDF/MDS files) mounted the new 2 meg mini-image.. works like a charm! Goodbye semi-cracked DTPro.. goodbye dumb-*ss “throttling”.. screw ALL the other methods!.. this works!.. and I don’t even have to keep an 8 gig file on my HD anymore!

    I have not tried this with any “update” patches.. nor the “new” TAGES drivers they installed.

    DT lite 4.30.3 works. Mounted this image in DT, ran gamepatch 1.01 to 1.4, launched game. 4.30.2 works as well. Haven't messed with MDS file so still have that huge image on disk, but it is definitely working. DT lite FTW!

    Is there any mini-image/crack out there that doesn't require me to uninstall daemon tools pro, doing registry cleaning and all that hassle to install daemon tools lite?

    And if possible could it please be uploaded to rapidshare, instead of being included in a huge torrent that will require me to download it all over again?

    I found a really simple way of solving the "Daemon Pro" problem and this game protection :D
    1.I've instaled the game using free Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.2. You cand download this from the actual site http://www.daemon-tools.cc/downloads
    2. I've downloaded Tages protectial removel, from http://www.tagesprotection.com and instal after the game. Good thing is free.
    3. Run the game, with image in daemon lite, and that's it.
    It works also the updates of the game.

    the new patch to 2.1 is using new Tages drivers…
    If you want to keep playing your game, don't patch to 2.1.
    You can use this version with up to patch 2.0

    Unless someone comes out with a solution, save your time.

    Don't update to 2.1 until the new Daemon tools version comes out. Tages simply blacklisted the newest DT version.

    I just made this mistake, now going to reinstall everything…

    tried that version of daemon tools (same one i had – latest? – anyways), with no luck. for modding reasons i had another copy of x3tc installed that was still at 1.4, so i updated that to 2.0a and exported my mods over to it. at least i can play until someone cracks 2.1. i hope its soon though, 2.1 has some performance enhancements.
