Say what you want about wrestling…the outcome of the matches may be ‘fixed’ or pre-determined…but you can’t deny the fact that these guys are great performers and athletes. I’d rather watch a good wrestling match than MMA where it usually degrades to two men rolling on the mat trying to get a submission hold.

Hating on wrestling because it’s fake should mean you hate movies too..right? I wouldn’t group MMA and wrestling together but both do require athletesism and skill.

When I spotted this I thought I’m sure this is an old release as I have had it for over a year. After checking the nfo I realised that I was correct. Release date (as in nfo) 30.03.07
That said however, if you are a fan of wrestling then I can reccommend this one as it is a very interesting presentation chronicling the rise of the Four Horsemen.
In accordance with above posts, it’s true that wrestling is not MMA, it is Sports Entertainment, but that is the operative term, entertainment.
Take it for what it is, if you like this kind of thing then it’s well worth the watch.

MMA and WWE can be put in the same sentence because both are fixed. Get with it people. We all know that some boxers get paid to take a fall too. The only difference is record keeping (wins/losses) and the amount of physicality in MMA. Guys will get bruises or busted open from hits here and there, but the matches don’t last long, and typically are two men hugging and rolling on the mat for 2 minutes “trying” to get the upper hand. Give me a break. Did anyone see Kelly Pavlik bust that guy open in ONE round last week? How come MMA guys can’t do that? Why do you think there are rules about gloved fists and low blows? (Wrestling used to “enforce” similar rules btw.) Why did Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn and other make an easy transition from MMA to pro wrestling?

It was grouped in the opening sentence only because there is a good core group of people who enjoy “sports entertainment” and mma alike. Some are mma traditionalists (as it’s only hit mainstream really hard in the past what? 10eyears or so? GO ahead.. be an elitist for no real reason. “Don’t group mma and fake wrestling together– blah blah I just pulled my head out of a monkey’s ass” SMGDH UFC is watered down and that’s the only Prime example I see of MMA these days. Maybe back during the days of a good Shamrock, Severn, Gracie and the like would I echo that sentiment. Now it’s theatrics, vendettas and feuding. Entrance music, and more… all the additions Vincent Kennedy McMahon added to WWF to make it marketable.
Of course they aren’t the same thing. One has high risk stunts and extended time devoted to hot broads. The other is 9 times out of 10 “real” or GRECO-ROMAN and FREESTYLE wrestling that breaks down to two men rolling around on a mat trying to apply a choke or leg/armbar. I miss the days of the beatdowns and the David vs. Goliath matches just as I miss ECW, the nWo and the Original 4 Horseman.
Both wwe and ufc have broken down and are complete garbage. Glad I’m not 7 and 16 respectively. Both were fun periods in my life and provided entertainment in my life.

MMA is not “fixed” like Pro-wrestling or pro-boxing.
But in MMA when the promoter puts together the matches they keep in mind who they want to “PUSH” and then give the person they want to “PUSH” the opponent that they should be able to handle easily. While this isn’t “fixing” the match it is less than honest.

WWF used to be pretty cool. The storylines were so hilarious such as Stone Cold and Vince and when the Japanese dude threatened to cut Val Venis’ D!ck off by slicing a sausage in half.
The matches were good because they were dangerous. It didn’t matter that it was fake because they were falling from the top of cell through loads of tables. Now since injuries and deaths WWE sucks. No dangerous matches, crap characters and crap storylines.
The splitting of the rosters ruined WWF as well. I havn’t watched it now for about 5 years. Its not FUN anymore.
@34 Shamrock – In relation to your question why did they go to WWF………Money, UFC has only now reached the heights of WWE. & as hard as it is to dance (cus thats what wrestleing is) with another man in a ring a pretend your actually fighing him, its harder to train & do cardio evertday for 2-3 months all por prep for one match that you gotta give your all.
@23 Barchan – You cannot lump wrestlers and MM artists in the same athlete barrel. Wrestlers go in with dancers, ballerina’s and coreographers. MMA goes with boxing, and other such REAL (i.e. not pre determined) sports. We could all jump around, run and cut ourselves and call ourselves wresters, i could even beat Chris Jerico, once i was told before the match that i would win. I couldn’t however last one second in the octogon with St Pierre. Because he in an athlete. And chris jerico is a dancer with steriods.

Wow you morons complaining about not being able to find stuff that is posted here just totally don’t understand the scene do you? Scene releases are given private releases within a scene group but eventually they get leaked to p2p, and that is when leechers like you can get them. Also, try learning how to search for torrents yourself on multiple sites (it’s call copy and paste the name of movie + scene name). lesson over.
