Wolfram Research Mathematica v6.0.3 Win-Lin-Mac-EDGEISO

If you are one of those people who loves science, physics, math (you name it…), then you will love this program too. EDGEISO released it in three editions: Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

Description: If you’re doing anything technical, think Mathematica–not just for computation but for modeling, simulation, visualization, development, documentation, and deployment.

Why Mathematica? Because this one integrated software system delivers unprecedented workflow, coherence, reliability, and innovation. Rather than requiring different toolkits for different jobs, Mathematica has been built from its inception to deliver one vision: the ultimate technical computing environment.

Looks like a bit of fun for the physics majors… plus the designs are pretty cool-looking as well.

I’ll grab it, if only for the novelty- it may be useful for me to have it some day.

Interesting Firefox add on that seems to do what I remember Mathematica doing. Those screen shots look like a different program.

This add on seems roughly equivalent to the graphical calculators for graphing at least.

Someone on Mozilla.org accuses the author of linking to malware on his homepage though.

Would laugh my ass of if the add on could do a 10th of what mathematica does.

@17 - It’s programs for each of their “things”

Matlab is easy for visualising and popular by many engineers, where mathematica is more for the direct mathematics, such as symbolic manipulation

So if you’re happy with matlab, stick with that :)

    @ 19,

I agree. I used both getting my engineering degree. Mathematica is great for more of a pure coordinate based math and spatial-heavy formulas. Math-Lab is great for visualizing 3-D. In other words, use mathematica for calculus based physics and Math-lab for mechanical, aerospace, etc.

But the multi-dimensional geometrical vector system is not as hot as they rant on 2 you. There are better w8rez in existence which are made 2 accomplish that specific task. Take my advise on that, if that’s what you’re planning on getting it 4.

Mathematica was/is popular with the folk at the Physics Society who were doing their research work … seems like a professional tool that may not be to the liking of all (hence pr0n et al comments).

Still curious as to the virus claim, must be a bogus claim though as there was no follow up (like name, how to get rid of it, links, proof …).

For the 6.03 keygen, the heuristics of Avira Antivir consider the keygen dangerous.

On the other hand, in might be only the packer this time, and I do not know what the actual payload of the 6.0 EDGE keygen actually is. Is there any way to find out other than to reverse engineer it myself (which I am not able to do)?

it does not matter if any keygens contain malware or not.

solution 1: set up an unprotected vm
solution 2: easier, always run ‘em in sandboxie if your av does not automatically disable them

    google “sandboxie” obviously
