Can’t say I love all their movies, but Lionsgate’s publicity dept. sure comes up with some great poster art (remember the posters for “Good Luck Chuck”?).

When instead of seeing the name of the lead actor in the credits you see the name of his character, it’s a pretty good clue the movie is gonna rather worthless.

It’s the exact contrary, I think.
To be able to laugh, to sublimate errors of the past in an absolute parody is the firs sign of national “health”.
What is really depressing in America today (imho)is the “gangsta” culture.
They don’t laugh much, do they?

Larry the Cable Guy acts like a dumb redneck because he realized that dumb rednecks will spend their money to go see movies and comedy shows, performed by a dumb redneck, about being a dumb redneck.

Granted, I’m sure that a small percentage of his audience statistically must have a reading-comprehension level above the 6th grade, so if you’re that guy, then don’t get offended – just realize who you’re surrounded by.
