   7-Zip anyone?

   I used to use Winrar also but 7-zip feels zippier and its completely free.

    7zip appears to be substantially faster for extracting than winrar, especially since I switched to dual core

    Winzip was ok back in the day but I prefer Winrar and 7-zip now.

    agree with all. WinRar & 7zip are excellent and cross platform. Whatever happened to WinAce? It used to be popular at one point.

    winace was picked by the ripping scene for making excellent archives of music and gfx files. but overall, it’s compress ratio is not that good as 7-zip; not sure about winace vs. RAR though.
