WinMount v.3.1.1225 x86-NoPE

Group NoPE is pretty active straight from the beginning of new year as they released another Windows application WinMount like 10 minutes ago. WinMount is basically a clone of Alcohol 120 or Daemon Tools which allows you to add virtual drives by attaching ISO files, plus there are many more features.

Winmount is a powerful windows utility which is dedicated to managing compressed archives and image files impressively and conveniently. It’s used to mount MOU RAR ZIP folder to a virtual disk or a local folder, which enabling you to use the files inside directly without extraction, saves your time and disk space dramatically. For instance, you can mount a ZIP file to a newly created virtual drive. After mounting process, your operating system will immediately notify you that a new device has been found. Then all files inside ZIP will be listed in the new device.

WinMount is a compression tool, supports compressing, decompressing and browsing MOU RAR ZIP 7Z. WinMount is also an image tool, supports mounting ISO ISZ BIN BWT MDS/MDF NRG IMG CCD CUE as a virtual disk. WinMount also supports mounting VHD, WMT, Microsoft WIM, FLAC, APE, WV as a virtual disk and using them directly. In addition, WinMount can create a new blank RAM-disk.

    I would. Wish there were links, though. It's by far the easiest to use for mounting image files and RARs.

    There's a free replacement of WinMount called "Pismo File Mount Audit Package" that can mount images and archives and can also use a free available API for own written plugins.
    Keep DT or Alcohol if you intend to mount games which need their protection scheme. WinMount can't and won't emulate copy protections.

    Does this suppoert mounting of splitted archives?
    Could be useful for those 8gig+ rar-releases, if there's no copy protection that needs to be emulated.

    third @ whitney they don't install any thing is part of a build in Firefox protection you can press "ignore" to get to the site

    it will mount it it just wont bypass the protection like Daemon tools for some clones game (you can emulate the game and use a no-cd/dvd)

    If they have a problem with your views on Israel, that's their choice, (and probably their wrong choice) but I think, if they are intelligent, they are more opposed to religious/political/etc views being shared on a website like this (primarily meant for sharing movies/games/etc).

    You can mount every image, as long as the game doesn't make use of special copy-protection methods like SecuROM, SafeDisc, StarForce, Tages, …
    With WinMount (or any other ISO-tool), you can easily mount and install games and tools you got on .iso files, but you need to use a NoCD-crack afterwards. If the game simply checks if it's started from CD, or if the CD contains a specific file (like DOS/Win95 games did more than 10 years ago), then… yes, WinMount is your baby. If you need more than a simple GetDriveType check, then stick to DAEMON-Tools instead. It doesn't offer such smart features like ZIP/RAR mounting, but does it's primary job way better for gamers like us ;)

    Like poster # 36, I couldn't get it to work either. Also caused my computer to lock up with a BSOD. Great program when it works though, nice not having to unrar big 720p files. Anybody got links to a working crack (snicker)?
