i found the registry edit it was in autorun1 i booted windows 7 and changed the drive letter to d: to point to xp drive saved the cmd ran it in win 7 and booted xp and all is woking perfect now

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!! UPDATE 2 IS FINALLY INSTALLING, NO ERRORS!!!!!!!!!! Now lets see if the xbox 360 will work properly???

Thanks who ever made this! It's BRILLIANT!!!!!!! sorry about my last post, winzip made it look like a zip or rar file so I thought there was no iso. I then restored to a point before I started and it had the "Hide extensions for known file types" disable. I straight away saw the iso and sung praises of cheer and embaressment!

I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE MEDIA CENTER VERSION IS 2005!!!!!!:)
BUT THE OS VERSION SAYS 2002!!!!!!:(

Come across my next hurdle, update rollup 2. I'll find a way
