Microsoft announced today that Windows Vista has been released to manufacturing. Vista will mark the first big shift in Microsoft consumer operating systems in over 5 years. According to Neowin, the RTM version of Vista will be available for MSDN subscribers sometime after November 10, while businesses should begin receiving their copies on or shortly after November 30. Vista will be launched into the retail sector on January 30, 2007.

Ah, I see they DID take the currencies into account. I was actually expected Ultimate to come in at 500 Euro. Well all that other money will just go to my 8800GTX then. Yeah I got my bragging rights along with my E6600…
**** that cost a lot of money…. =P I think i’ll use XP until ultimate price drops about half… (Somehow I feel i’m waiting a lot)
FINALLY!!! OMG!!!

Now that this monster is in it‘s sale-beta, Apple can announce the final features of 10.5 Leopard. Nothing more to copy. muhahahahahah
Who cares about prices? Download the shit!
who the fu** pays for windows ??
i have never and will never pay for anything from microsoft that i could download for free.
doesnt everybody want a fast and stable os ?
and vista will probobly be slower and more unstable than winxp , they tried 2 stable xp 5 years now but, still shitty !=/
the only time i ever bought windows, is when it came with my computer…oh and its gold? damn..
I don’t care i wont be getting this shit anyways
i have the beta 2 and its apsolute bolocks i will stay wi xp as long as i can am not payin those prices and we cant downlode it coz m$ are giving keys to goverment so people cant copy it or used copyed software wi it so fuck that no way :@
MS Vista = What should have been Windows XP SP3
Fuck paying for what is basically a service pack.
MS can tongue my nutsack.
That price tag for the last one sounds pretty good. But i think ill stick with xp for now, itll prolly be a few years before they stomp out most of the bugs in vista
i really hope that this fucking piece of trash fails in the market, who needs a stupid os that needs 1 g of mem dual core and a beast of a gfx card just to look nice???? too bad those huge resources are going to be used for stupid 3d interfaces and a nice version of minesweeper instead of using them for something usefull. please, nobody buy this piece of crap!!!!
No fucker looking on this web site is going to pay for it any how so dont kid your self and the thought of Bill Gates tonguing my nut sack well if I was paying for it I would at least expect a blow job
Vista has so many new features it’s in NO WAY comparable to Windows XP. Plus it’s the only OS that will have the latest DX version so you will all have to get Vista in order to play games on the highest graphical settings and at one point you’ll even need Vista to play games at all. Not to mention that Vista will bring 64 Bit into the mainstream audience which finally makes it possible to just make programs 64 Bit without worrying that only 2% of all the PC users have Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.
lol, well you get DX10 at the price of OpenGL dying in the ass =P my guess is, wait until the major exploits appear and get patched, then DOWNLOAD
a copy of vista and try it out, dual boot..
meh, my 2 cents anyway.
As it happens, I just so happen to be using a prfectly legal copy of Window’s XP. I have no problem paying for it simply because it’s now a more stable OS than it was in the beginning (or first 2 or 3 years atleast). Chances are, Vist won’t touch my PC for a year or 2 if I can possibly deal with that.
I think what’d be more fun is a game of “Guess The Cracking Group” and who will be the first to crack the Ultimate Edition
.
If you download Vista you won’t be able to receive updates. And without updates any retarded script kiddie can hack your version of Vista. Since I’m a gamer I NEED Windows Vista. Also, I’d never download Windows anyway. I’ve got the money, and if you don’t then just save some up for something less the Ultimate. Because really, how many of you use professional tools like Photoshop and 3Ds Max? I do so I NEED Ultimate as well since it uses both of my cores to double my system performance and I NEED that when I’ve got Flash, 3Ds Max, Photoshop and Corel Draw running at the same time. Why would all of you guys need Ultimate? It might be better but seriously, how many of you will really take full advantage of all of it’s unique features? I’m guessing about 5% of all RLSLOG visitors even know HOW to use those features. Soon I’ll be learning how to program and if Ultimate edition makes me compile twice as fast then I’ll definitely pay 250 Euros. I pay 250 Euros for an OS that I will be using for the next 5 or 6 years. Not a bad price if you ask me considering that a movie that lasts about 1 and a half hours costs 15 Euros. And I always pay for good games and movies because if we’d all stop paying for our entertainment there won’t be any entertainment industry left in 20 years from now and I think the price we’d pay for that is a lot more then the price of a damn DVD.
for what possible reason would you ever run flash, max, photoshop and corel draw at the same time? I can’t think of a single scenario.
What about working on a model? I’ll be modelling, and skinning at the same time. I use Corel, Flash and Photoshop to get the best results. Sometimes I also use ZBrush but that’s only for parallax and normal maps. Trust me it happens all the time.
Without flaming, does anyone know what the minimum requirements will be for the premium edition?
Thanks
I thought there wasn’t going to be a corporate edition of Vista , because of their new volume licensing bullshit?
Anyway, I’ve got my money eth0, but since I get legal copies for free, I don’t really care.
@Brandon: The same as all the other versions, ‘cept for the basic edition because that one doesn’t have the new Vista style which requires at least a GeForce FX or equivalent.
The only reason they’re not making directx 10 for XP is because they WANT you to buy Vista and the muppets out there will buy it. So don’t buy into this you have to upgrade bullshit because you don’t. Now we gonna have the situation when we switched from 98 to xp none of the damn programs or games worked. Perhaps wait for a few years while they fix vista and all the hidden bugs don’t want to be a beta tester…do you?
Windows.Vista.Corporate.Edition.CRACKED-SomeGroup for $0.00
ahahahahahahaha
yep thatsthe one ill be using
If you download Vista you won’t be able to receive updates. And without updates any retarded script kiddie can hack your version of Vista
^or you are to stupid to use a cracked version
Vista has some cool features and DX10, so I guess gamers and tweakers will want it, which puts me squarely in those categories!
Updates for cracked vista will be available on one way or another. Just like now XP updates can be downloaded even if stupid genuine check is trying to stop it :p
” I pay 250 Euros for an OS that I will be using for the next 5 or 6 years. ”
Don’t forget it’s only allowed to reinstall twice.
“If you download Vista you won’t be able to receive updates. And without updates any retarded script kiddie can hack your version of Vista
^or you are to stupid to use a cracked version”
yeah apparently u dont know enough about cracked operating systems, i believe there are 2 or 3 sites that allow for the downloading of updates, that is if they are nessesary or wanted, other forms of security are not that hard to create
I wasn’t highly impressed with Vista until after RC2 (build 5840 was great on my machines) so I probably won’t adopt it until I own fully compliant DX10 hardware, or SP1, whichever comes first.
I will leave it on the slave box though. It’s interesting to know what applications, network configurations, or drivers just won’t work before you jump into a complete refresh of your main box.
The remote installation and imaging system developed for Vista and Longhorn Server makes XP and 2K3 look like child’s play (and that’s putting it mildly). At least that portion of deployment and administration will be a cakewalk. Yes kiddies, that means it will be easier than ever to make your integrated, unattended installations all you want them to be, and simple to maintain them if you’re actually running an RIS.
hey crimson; go fuck yourself.
Oh !
Do not download Vista beta with lots of features and Aero and DXX. You doing great evil to the software industry and hurting the Microsoft innovators .
already a torrent on this,
hmm, looks like there is a few releases now… real or fake, I’m not to sure?
