    Not really.
    I use a stupid self-made perl script to make Windows look like it’s genuine. The above solution is over-complicated and simply not needed.
    One simply shouldn’t trust such tools anyway (just my personal opinion though).

    I don’t understand how anyone can be sure their Windows is genuine if they apply this release. They would just be looking for problems then.

    I have a legit copy of Windows runnin on my desktop, the validation tool always crashes my system.

    It’s just easier to deal with the Student Edition also released by ETH0 each month, along with every other version under the sun. I update my backup each month, and I currently have Microsoft.Windows.XP.Professional.Student.Edition.SP2.Integrated.September.2007-ETH0 so a: I have all of the updates I need, and b: I never have to fight WGA.

    There is another way to PERMANENTLY bypass it.

    There is a Key gen for Win XP VLK Keys, you get one of those, then there is a registry hack which redirects the KMS server onto the loopback Network adapter.

    Been using this method for ages, and doesn’t look like MS will ever fix it up.

    Haha NO REPLACING FILES, just a simple redirection of the KMS server which is already inbuilt into Win XP Pro.

    i have been using TinyXP Rev06 for about an year.it is really light on the resources and works with automatic updates.and all MS softwares can be installed without any trouble.

    Get one of eth0’s monthly SP2 VLK (corporate) releases and use the wga registry hack (google it). You don’t need cracks or activation unless you are using a retail copy of XP.

    I don’t know if this works or not but I thought the problem of WGA cracking has already been solved with a reg key that I found about a year ago and which lets me download anything off of the microsoft webiste. here’s the link for it

    you may need to run this everytime you restart windows becuase I do believe it somehow gets deleted

    Even though Micro$oft has updated its WGA Validation, the patch from the above^^ site is able to still keep the computer “validated” … so a lot less need to keep getting the latest WGA Validation Crack from ETH0, since the one from the blog above^^ works for a longer time since it works with the new WGA Validation that they are now using…

    My way is the simplest:
    Use the original Microsoft-published VRMPVOL_EN (The best XP+SP2 available right now) or any other Corp. version for that matter along with the VLK that we all know and love (You know, the one that starts with V2C47). There’s nothing simpler or better. No cracks to worry about, none of that crap. This is a permanent solution.
    My copy is genuine, is yours?

    well when i got my new computer i paid 100 bucks and got a legal copy anyway.. first legal version of windows i have ever owned lol. so i dont have to worry about any of this…. my last computer had a corporate edition of xp pro service pack 2 and i simply just didnt bother updating!!

    You guys have all got to be joking .. using half rubbish methods to bypass validation. Grab this torrent from PirateBay .. once you run this – you never have to worry about silly things like replacing this DLL file and you will be able to get all windows updates AND pass all validation checks both online and software.

    I used this method more than a year ago and never had any problems. System shows as 100% genuine.

    Microsoft themselves provided a way to bypass the WGA check. Select the alternate validation method and download the validation tool. Run it in Windows 98 compatibility mode to generate a code. Put that code in the box and download whatever you want. Windows 98 doesn’t need to be validated and the code it generates will tell MS that you’re using 98.

    I dont know why people continue to go to Windows Update. There is a very easy way around all of it.

    1) Go download Firefox if you haven’t already. (www.getfirefox.com)

    2) Go to (http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/) and update your computer. no WGA, none of the bs.

    3) Stop using Windows. Ubuntu is much better.

    I run a reg patch then go out to windows update and get everything I want. I also turn off windows update and set the windows security reminder to hide in taskbar. I’m never bothered just have to run the reg patch and do a windows update once and awhile. Not sure what it was called but me and my friends love the patch. Works great for updates. Been using it for over a year now. Yes Microsoft is wrong. They just want you to pay so they get even fatter wallets!
