I am enjoying the plot development thus far in the second season of the Canadian filmed and produced mystery/drama series whistler. This episode is one with suspense. A backcountry boarding trip turns for the worse when Travis becomes injured. Quinn stays behind to tend to his aid, but with help not arriving soon enough Ryan risks his own life to save his nephew. Dammit is it ever possible to have an on-topic discussion about the post in question? Comments purged, and locked!

Always a Bridesmaid: Quinn, Griff and Travis go on a backcountry boarding trip that leaves Travis injured. Quinn stays behind to take care of Travis while Griff gets help, but as night descends, the temperature plummets and fog socks in the mountain. Though a rescue seems impossible, Ryan refuses to stand idly by and risks his life to try and rescue his nephew. While Quinn struggles to survive, his friends and family can only wait, terrified the mountain will claim another McKaye.

2HD released the proper version of last week’s Whistler. It will be nice to re-watch without an obnoxious loud interruption from a segmentation glitch due to no audio normalization. I mentioned the issue in my post here. Read their reasoning below for their scoop. Hopefully the torrent arrives later.

Props to AAF for the fast release. However their release doesn’t have the audio normalized. After the first commercial break, the audio gets BLARINGLY loud. Not sure what happened but usually things like that happen during segmented encodes. Either way, loud bursts in volume can cause speaker and hearing damage and when normalization is just a click or simple cmd line option away, it should be used. As always see our proof in the sample directory. A nice graphic comparing the waveforms of our rls vs theres.
