It is supposed to be a realistic drama not a mindless B-movie so we should expect more. This just introduces us to a desperate character in a bad situation and gradually makes it worse so we the audience can feel good about yourselves because it's not us. Bad manipulative filmmaking which sucks even more because Michelle Williams was good in this. Larry Fessenden should stick to making pretentious horror films.
