    I hate french movies!! bad acting, no plots, etc… no one notices but german movies are lot better than sleazy movies made by the frenchmans.

    but in the movie when the characters speak a language that isn’t the native language ( Polish ) ie Russian, those subtitles are hardcoded in the film and appear OVER the custom subs making them hard to read and you end up missing portions of the dialogue. Have to wait for a European release I think.

    You know, I have checked opensubtitles.org several times over the past days and it always comes up as Problem Loading Page (iow, not there)
    I thought it was just temporary, but even the link @9 on this flick doesn’t work for me.

    I would suggest linking to RT rather than citing the ratings, at least higher ones. The catch-22 with RT ratings is that the low ones generally are for real and therefore helpful, while the relatively higher ones often are the result of computer misclassification of reviewers’ comments. For example, with Water Lilies compare the Red Tomato for the NY Times review with what the reviewer actually said:

    “But like most movie teenagers, they also weigh in closer to carefully fabricated adult conceits than to fleshed-out real girls.”

    “what is most interesting about ‘Water Lilies’ is that Ms. Sciamma appears not to have recognized that she has the makings of a real star in Ms. Haenel, whose shaded performance suggests a more interesting film than this one.”
