Wooohoo, now for those of you that were patient enough to wait here is the DVD rip of Watchmen thanks to JUMANJi . Based on the 1986-1987 comic book series Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Set in an alternate-history 1985, Watchmen follows a group of former vigilantes as tensions heighten between the United States and the Soviet Union while an investigation of an apparent conspiracy against them uncovers something even more grandiose and sinister. I saw this movie in the cinemas and i loved it, highly recommend watching this. Enjoy!

Note: Accoding to comments on various sites this is not the Directors cut, so personally ill wait for that since its an extra 24 minutes longer.

“Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity… but who is watching the Watchmen?

    Out of sync from the beginning and it does change as you go through the film

    tried to fix in vlc but got to the point were I was watching it in parts there were so many sync issues which ruins the film

    another rushed out lame release, how dud they not notice sync issues from the first minute which shows there was no quality check

    it's free I know but just another waste of time from releasers, starting to happen to often this

    whoever said this was so out of sync that it makes the movie is unwatchable is talking crap. its only noticeable once and last for about 5 seconds (Nixon in briefing room scene).

    all i have to say is get better writers for your site considering the description of this is "based off the 1986-87 comic book series" IT'S BASED OFF THE ORIGINAL NOVEL YOU MORON!!!!!! NOT THE COMIC BOOK THE COMICS DIDN'T EVEN COME OUT TILL AFTER THE NOVEL WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED THE ONLY REASON THEY PRODUCED COMICS FOR THIS WAS BECAUSE OF HOW GOOD THE NOVEL DID IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!     oipimppnk is an idiot. a watchmen novel simply doesn't exist, except when you're talking about a graphic novel, and even then it's rather vague. watchmen was published as a comic book series and later bundled into one giant book, deal with it.

    @nick: why do you want to reencode the 5.1 ac3 track to stereo? your dvd player should be able to to play the ac3 5.1 track in stereo by itself, there is no need to reencode the audio. check your dvd player settings.

    Actually, I spoke a little too soon. No.215 rapidshare's links are ok. You can extract that .exe and it is actually an avi file. Sorry for the confusion.

    i also had sync problems during the whole movie. Set VLC player to -2 ms and it was fine for the whole time. Plus you need to adjust the brightness and saturation a little bit.

    VirtualDub, free and fairly simple to use.
    Download, extract to somewhere you can find it, open virtualdub.exe and drag the first xxx cd1.avi into it. Select direct stream copy for the video and full process mode for audio, then compression for audio to mp3 at a suitable bit rate at 48,000khz. Then File append avi and look for XXX cd2.avi and save as avi. This will not work for 5.1 ac3 as it will convert it to stereo mp3.
    Alternatively if you want to convert to a DVD and keep 5.1 sound then AVI2DVD, again free. Stick to the file name and location rules. It will join both CD1 and CD2 without intervention provided they are in the same location. Subtitles can be added (the same way), as can a simple menu. If the AVI has 5.1 sound and/or subs the DVD files will be to big, so download DVDshrink and use full backup and full analysis for best results.
