A kind of interesting STV movie Wargames: The Dead Code was released by newish scene group AFG. Starring mostly actors from less known TV shows, this drama has already been released by group M14CHO as WarGames 2, but it’s just one same movie (remake of a same-titled1983 sci-fi by the way). The quality of these two rips is very similar as well so it’s just up to you which one you decide to download. Classic 1 CD rip with MP3 audio.

Computer hacker Will Farmer (Lanter) engages a goverment super-computer named Ripley in an online terrorist-attack simulation game. Little does Farmer know that Ripley has been designed to appeal to potential terrorists, and certain glitches have turned made him become paranoid.

    How can it be a remake when its into the future of WOPR.

    WOPR is in this movie and ofc without giving away spoilers, its OLD junk in this one compared to Ripley.

    Anyways, i found it to be a decent movie, sometimes it seemed a bit too “scripted” looking but decent nevertheless.

    I don’t believe this is the true “Wargames 2″ that is slated to come out…Wargames 2 is supposed to be about what happens when they try to dismantle the WOPR and it goes rogue…this movie is about something else and is likely some stupid film studio that just stole the name to make it look like a sequel.

    It feels like half sequel (first film is referenced) and half remake (overall plot is more or less the same, as is the outcome).

    Not a bad way to waste to bit of time, but don’t expect a good film. Probably better to save your bandwidth and just watch the first one again.

    This is the actual sequel that MGM has been planing to do for awhile. It’s not that bad of a movie. It is the same style as the first one but uses the idea of terrorists rather than a nuke war. Just read some of the IMDB comments from over the last year or so and you will see.

    It sucked. It wasn’t related to the first, this is more of a “enemy of the state”-style/surveillance movie, with a dose of the terrorist BS, and total nonsense when it come to computers.
