Actually Jai you're incorrect in your comparison. The show more closely resembles Friday the 13th the series which follows the same premise. The old series had a type of antique or book shop setting. The old man is similar to Art and the two young newcomers are almost a match to the old series where you have one young woman and one young man as apprentices almost. It's quite literally the same show with some minor changes.

It was an interesting show then and this new take on it seems to be ok but again almost every new show has a slow start. I can't remember seeing anything instantly being a hit besides the same old cop shows rehashed over and over till our eyes bleed.

I thought it was terrible. Sort of an X-files rip-off with artifacts instead of aliens. Every week will just feature a different item that makes people act strangely until our heroes can figure out what it is and remove it before the world unravels, all the while maintaining a loose secondary plot that spans the whole season/series. Maybe it will be like Seinfeld, my guess is it won't.
