After seeing the DVD9 on iNTERFiLM I was pretty excited to see this movie coming as R5 Scene release :) . I hope it is as enjoyable as I want it to be. Remember guys if it really was that worthwhile buy the original DVD-R/BD! :)

Quality: Image quality is quite okay. Its not completely crystal clear but still very good. The audio sounds somewhat “unclean” you can hear some hissing. Its not too bad after all:

Synopsis: 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.

    Can someone answer this question for me? Why are there only certain movies released as R5’s and not others? Such as Iron Man. Is it because certain movie companies don’t release there movies in Russia first? Or is it because no scene group takes the time to re-dub it in English? Or is it something totally different, I don’t know, thats why I am asking? Anyways, thanks rlslog for the movie.

    DAMN!!! That second pic with Jolie in it would make a VERY convincing vampire..just give her red eyes and show some fang, and lighten her skin color a bit and presto, perfect female vampire.

    On a lighter note, someone must have said something about her kids as she looks PISSED!!!!

    not sure if you know this, but Angelina’s kids are adopted, so she isn’t as worried about them as she would be if they were her real children.

    and you would need a good vampire movie script to put her in, even if she does look similar to a vampire.

    Guys, audio is definitely poor, but if you use FFDSHOW codec, the noise reduction and FIR filter helps a LOT. It makes it quite watchable. Try it on the sample and decide for yourself.

    yeah equing does help abit if you got 2 equalisers say one on the stereo or the soundcard n then eq it again through the audio codec which should load when the film does, it helps isnt as noticable but from listening to dnb for years my hearing is dodgy anyway cant hear any hi-pitched noises.

    Yeah “Blbla the a$$hole” just spoiled the film for everyone who hasn’t seen it..it’s still a great film regardless.

    Well here’s a bit of info on the release…

    The video is amazing…love the quality, but I would personally wait for a better rip because the audio is just absolutely terrible…

    r5 needs to stop rushin stuff out there that has crappy sound just to be first. do like u did in the past and wait till theres good quality sound to put ur stuff out there. I always associated r5 with near dvdrip quality releases. lately I have to be skeptical everytime they put somethin out. not good.

    All you have to do is turn down 8k and 16k on your EQ settings in your sound card, and maybe boost some 1k and 2k, and the hiss goes away considerably. Hopefully someone will recode the audio with the EQ filters in place and rerelease this movie. Or even better, someone could go get some new line audio.

    this kind of release is legal DVD released in Russia to decrease the level of pirated movies in this country. Retail is rushed out by the studio, so there is little to no cleanup of the film after the telecine process. As a result, you can see some scratches, hairs or other mess on the picture, but you will hardly notice it while watching. External English audio is often used, as these are supplied with Russian sound by default.
