After seeing the DVD9 on iNTERFiLM I was pretty excited to see this movie coming as R5 Scene release :) . I hope it is as enjoyable as I want it to be. Remember guys if it really was that worthwhile buy the original DVD-R/BD! :)

Quality: Image quality is quite okay. Its not completely crystal clear but still very good. The audio sounds somewhat “unclean” you can hear some hissing. Its not too bad after all:

Synopsis: 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.

Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie).

After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad’s death by unlocking his dormant powers.     This movie is really really crap waste of anybodys time, allmost all the so called action films made at the moment are very poor and Angelina Jolie is so bad at acting it’s painfull to watch her but i’m sure most of you kids will enjoy this rubbish.

    at 17: In your dreams, I doubt they will be out any time soon, other then a DVD Rip that you can as usual a month before the release date, I’m sure the Studios that make those movies do not do screeners and they do not bring out dvd releases earlier in one place then another.

    22: No screeners? No, no, there are always screeners.

    Some studios (Warner Bros are one) distribute their screeners in a more secure manner these days. They use a small PC (shuttle form factor) running a custom Linux distro with encoded video files running through a proprietary codec. As the files play, a watermark is overlaid on the screen indicating the person the PC has been assigned to.

    How do I know? I’ve got one sitting right here.

    There are always screeners, but for certain films and shows, they’re a bit paranoid about them getting out so they make the extra effort.

    video is taken from russian source…audio is cam or TS..n very bad as told my many ppl above..i don’t think iVE has even filtered it ..i guess a NUKE is xpected soon….lets hope mVs or BaLD rlz a proper soon !

    It isnt even rlsed in USA and it was made in USA, how can they have an DUBBED DVDRIPPED version ALREADY?

    “dvd releases earlier in one place then another.” — whoever said this above, you need to realize that all the movie companies are creating their own piracy by releasing movies in Russia and other countries long before they ever get here. It’s called problem-reaction-solution. They create the problem, in this case it is movies being released in Russia earlier than here and ripped and put up on the internet. The reaction is of course, as you’ve all heard by now, “internet piracy is hurting movie sales”, and the solution is all of our ISP’s banning all web content that is not web 2.0 compliant.

    Enjoy the free stuff while you can peeps, cuz it’s all over and done with as of Dec.31, 2009.

Is it because certain movie companies don’t release there movies in Russia first? Or is it because no scene group takes the time to re-dub it in English?     Guys, audio is definitely poor, but if you use FFDSHOW codec, the noise reduction and FIR filter helps a LOT. It makes it quite watchable. Try it on the sample and decide for yourself.

    yeah equing does help abit if you got 2 equalisers say one on the stereo or the soundcard n then eq it again through the audio codec which should load when the film does, it helps isnt as noticable but from listening to dnb for years my hearing is dodgy anyway cant hear any hi-pitched noises.

    r5 needs to stop rushin stuff out there that has crappy sound just to be first. do like u did in the past and wait till theres good quality sound to put ur stuff out there.     All you have to do is turn down 8k and 16k on your EQ settings in your sound card, and maybe boost some 1k and 2k, and the hiss goes away considerably. Hopefully someone will recode the audio with the EQ filters in place and rerelease this movie. Or even better, someone could go get some new line audio.

    this kind of release is legal DVD released in Russia to decrease the level of pirated movies in this country. Retail is rushed out by the studio, so there is little to no cleanup of the film after the telecine process. As a result, you can see some scratches, hairs or other mess on the picture, but you will hardly notice it while watching. External English audio is often used, as these are supplied with Russian sound by default.

    This is the best forum to check out the quality of a release, has all the links on one page, dead and alive, so you dont have to search for hours to get alive links.

    and Some people are JUST TOO FUSSY about the quality.

    Yeah I admit that having a top end PC with 8channel audio is awesome to watch movies on a wide screen kick ass TV but at the same time, Its better to watch a near excelent quality movie rather than pay money to have some Large chick sit in front of you and Dop her GUTS while crunching loudly on any sort of food during the Entire Movie an a cinema that only has REALY small squished up broken flip chairs that one thousand and forty two other people have sat in while letting sh1t gass’s out on it.

    So please be gr8ful to these people who release the movie for YOU to watch so as you dont have to endure these near FATAL experiences to the cinema.
    Don’t see you taking YOUR time to release any movies?
    YOU could at least d/l some of the releases and SHUT THE HELL UP./..

    and As for the spoilers..

    It’s optimized for multi core so if you have a dual or quad core video encoding will fly by, a bit complicated for the average user but once you get the hang of it it’s awesome.
    I’m gonna start uploading the copy I synced now, but i only have 100kbs upload so it’ll take a few hours but i’ll post the link here when it’s done.

    @281 jeff – Nice one matey, I really should of tried to re-sync the MVS audio with TMPGenc myself, but instead I tried to do it with VirtualDubMod. It was a complete nightmare, I’d get it in sync then it would be out again a few seconds later. I read somewhere that the R5 is different from the English version (video wise) which caused it to deviate so much, so again, a big pat on the back for your success, bet your mouse finger is hurting with the thousands of cut and splices you needed to do to the audio stream to make it work.

    I’ll look forward to your links as this is a great film.

    Wow, if half the people here didn’t even complain about the sound, over a quarter of these comments wouldn’t exist… Stop crying about it, we get the movie MONTHS in advance, seeing as how it just came out 4 weeks ago.

    I am also happy to see the movie, as I quit my movie theatre and moved from Toronto the day before it’s arrival, and all the workers were gonna see it for free :( Well, at least we have it early! Thanks again for the links RLSLOG! :D

    I have tried everything that I can think of, but I can’t get the pop and clicks out of the audio during playback. I even tried playback through VLC and messing with the equalizer all to no avail. I guess we’re gonna have to wait on the Proper to the Proper…..

    pt im wondering if that stands for public tracker. lol samples are all different sizes bro. when theres an issue with the release already they usually have longer samples so you have longer time to determine.

    Some INFO. Watched it yesterday and the movie is really GOOD! I liked it very much. Action packed! As for the video quality – i give it 10/10 (everything was perfect); the audio was awful and was the worst i seen in a long time – only 2/10!!!
