Wall E R5 XviD-TRADINGSTANDARDS
I just checked my Pre bot and noticed this 25-second old release from controversial group TRADINGSTANDARDS. They released an R5 rip of Wall-E, shortly after p2p release from group TL group iAPULA. Their NFO traditionally lacks any info, but it’s quite obvious this is just another completely stolen release and it will be nuked very soon. The quality is a great improvement from the latest DVD screener though so if you still haven’t seen the movie, go and get it.
After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL•E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. There were some rumours iAPULA’s rip is actually an overcropped DVD screener so this will be probably the same issue. The quality isn’t that good for R5 source.

A court in Germany has ruled that RapidShare is not doing enough to stop piracy. RapidShare was using MD5 to prevent reupping of files previously deleted from the servers, 6 people were working round the clock. The court has ordered the logging of IPs. Because I don’t understand german and Google Translate is not precise, I don’t understand if all IPs will be logged or only those of the uploaders. Also I don’t understand if privacy remains guaranteed or the IPs will be transmitted to the copyright owners. The german text is here:

The rule is nearly worthless. It was spoken by a local court in norhtern germany and Rapidshare is working under the laws of switzerland. The mentioned facts are from a claim from 2006 and you how long it took. The object of argue is some app from IBM. Who cares about IBM?
The german law forces ISPs to log IPs and stuff for 6 months. RS isn’t an ISP and german courts are not appropriate for swiss encroachment!

quick translation of the guide lines mentioned for you:
1. a web hosting provider (here rapidshare) is only liable for a copyright infringement from the moment on he knows about it.
2. as soon as he knows it he has to do anything possible to prevent further similiar infringements
3. md5 filters are not enoguh [bla bla bla] has to take pro active action and “in case of doubt” ip logging. there’s no reason though not to offer the service anonymous anymore
4. because their way of business doesnt make use of obvious identification schemes they are not protected by the law like others are
gonna check the full text to see what it really says though
imho not really important; a court told them they might have to close their service or use real identification (like if you wanna take a credit@ a bank) lololol and what did they do? upgrade their server architecture …

just looked through the full text and the court seems most p1ssed by what we all love so much: how good RS keeps it’s customers privacy or in other words how they make it impossible to prosecute anyone by not logging/deleting ips
this court (hamburg) is known for it’s pro cencorship/copyright rulings anyways so i hope RS will go to the next higher court and get a somewhat more convenient decicion.
chances are not that bad; they already won a minor case like this some time ago and an owner of a ed2k hub was recently declared not liable for what users do as long as he takes some measures like RS already does so good luck rapidshare
just saw this btw (Urt. v. ——->02.07.2008 – Az.: 5 U 73/07) = 3 month old – even before rs began upgrading their servers so i guess the’re not really taking it too serious

Incorrect. That’s just the same cropped screener converted back to DVD. A SERIOUS waste of time. All you have to do is take THIS download, run it through ConvertXtoDvd, and upload the huge piece of trash you made and call it a DVD.

@95 hi mate there was a screener released,1 of the earlier ones and it has the pixar short film on the front end of the film,most of the other screeners that have been released after cropping and blurring have also had the short removed so it appears that the so called dvd is nothing other than a dvd screener with extra scene/short at the front,transcoded and re-uploaded,if a so called “real dvd” had been released ANYWHERE on the net,then you can be guaranteed we would know about it by now,rest assured.anyway if you read the comments to this release its looking like its a fake trading standards,as they quit a wile back and disney/pixar dont release R5′
