WALL-E 720p BluRay x264-iNFAMOUS

After some crappy DVDRips for Wall E, here’s the 720p BluRay version. The WALL E dvdrip war ended with a syncfix by HLS. Whether that one was good, wouldn’t know, but let’s hope this 720p release is a good one:).

After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL•E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL-E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.

    nice…i see it on usenet…do search for ‘inf walle’…finally a decent copy. Pixar movies deserves HD or BluRay. Seeing it just in dvd-quality doesn’t do them justice.

    Many people haven’t got enough CPU-power to watch x264 1080p, but any newer laptop/PC/Mac can play x264 720p.

    DEViSE’s release was a $hit… they use GMC3!!! That is incompatiple with stand-alone players…

    So, Devise release is a waste o bandwith for who wants to play at standard definition TV set (480p),

    And for the ones with High Definition TV sets the 720p is way better…

    if you havent power to watch x264 1080p you should stick to dvd format anyway… most new onboard graphic chips in laptops and pc mainboards are capable of decoding hd material without needing much cpu power.

    but then again, no one is forced to download anything…

    but from what i heard, this one should be watch in the original blue ray version, cause pixar pushed the quality to make it as close as possible to the original source they are working with.

    Hmm… a dvd5 at 1080p? Thats really stretching the data per pixel still. Also a good modern cpu can do 720p, you need a pretty heafty beast for 1080p. For instance my core duo laptop can only do 720p. Admitedly a rendered movie like wall-e should offer more detail at 1080p, but in most cases the only thing 1080p lets you see is the limitation of todays cameras. Honestly there is only one thing I see different on 1080p…more file grain.

    Movie wasn’t funny but when you hear the name Disney in it’s production, getting laughs out is the least you expect. It is however in a way a “romantic” movie but innocent at the same time.
    It isn’t necessarily bad if you just empty your head and be in a mood. Luckily I was and I enjoyed it.

    This is the day I’ve been waiting for!! and Now it’s the time to answer the question:: Why is the picture “blurry”? not only in “outer locations” but even in the scenes inside the “space colony” – is it really a space colony or a spaceship? – like this screenshot describes:

    Yes, that is how it’s supposed to look. Pixar’s two latest films have moved away from harsh digital lines to using soft light to make the edges of objects and backgrounds appear softer and more realistic.

    The same sort of “soft edge” can be seen a lot in Ratatouille. The reason Pixar is doing this is to make their “digitally animated” movies appear more realistic. Also, it doesn’t help that throughout WALL-E, EVE has an unnatural glow. Her body tends to reflect light, so she never really has a harsh solid line edge of her body shell. It’s always a slightly blurry glowing edge.

    i dont know what you mean with blurry? do you mean the scenes where they focus on certain characters? one thing i noticed and amazed me was how the movie often imitates real life camera focusing, like you would expect from a regular movie shooting.

    The pictures I posted were samples from a private tracker site. I am guessing the save for web settings the user used makes it look very blurry due to their filesize. But they are indeed from the file and not upscaled.

    Hmmm…now is there a problem with this, or is a problem with my software.

    Downloaded movie – Fine.
    Converted to MP4 with mkv – Fine
    Converted to DVD disk with solid mp4 to DVD – Not fine.

    Picture quality = fantastic.
    Sound quality = weird. In places some characters voices are so mutesd you cant hear them. BUT..this only happens on a PS3. If the same disk is put in a normal dvd player, then the sound is all there and ok. Picture…not too good..but thats to be expected.

    Any ideas ?

    The continuing saga…well I fixed it.
    I have set the ps3 bd movie sound to BITSTREAM and I get the sound.

    So it was me/my kit after all.
