One of the better 2005 movies is now available in an extended version. Walk The Line released in this new dvdrip by group iMOVANE won one Oscar and was nominated for many many other film awards. Starring Joaquin Phoenix in the role of Johnny Cash together with Reese Witherspoon, this is a romantic drama with elements of biographical story and musical. The extended cut is getting into the shops now and you can download it here too, multiple subtitles are included…

Johnny Cash grew up in Arkansas, and served in the Air Force in Germany, where he bought a guitar. He returned from the war and married. Singing and playing with two other men, he cut a record in Memphis. His reputation growing from airplay and live performances, Cash became a star, touring with the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis and others. On tour, he suffered the effects of drug addiction. He also met June Carter, who would later become his wife. Responding in part to the fan mail he received from prisoners, Cash played a legendary concert for the inmates at Folsom Prison in California.

    Great movie, both Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did great jobs in their roles along with singing. What is so extended about this version though?

    I was wondering if anyone knew what pills johnny and elvis were popping like crazy in this movie? Was he addicted to pills really? And if so what were they?

    @11, i would recommend you to read his book, or at least search and see if there is an audiobook version of it… thats IF you are a big fan of him/the movie… Movie based almost directly on CASH (the book)

    @11 Johnny boy was addicted to amphetamines which made him Elvis etc stay awake for long periods of time while they were touring.
    On personal experience, not nice.
    Walk the line, not do the line hee hee!

    jeez! Great movie, this would be a great release if iMOVANE had choosen a more appropriate video resolution! 576×240px? Are you kidding? I want to see the actors, the expressions on their faces. Better 720×300px. What for do they rip a dvd? But thanks anyway.

    I do not know for sure what Johnny Cash took. The substances that Elvis Presley did consume though are well known, at least some of them. From the top of my head (as a child I used to worship ‘The King’):
    - Amphetamines
    - Barbiturates
    - Opiates (Codein, Morphium, Hydrocodon, …)
    - Ethylalcohol
    These drugs (except for the alcohol) were precribed by one or more MD’s working for him.

    All in all, this list is pretty boring. I have no idea if E.P. did ever try mushrooms, LSD, mescaline, or at least some cannabis. I tend to believe he did not.

    Remember, Johnny was constantly on drugs… I was touring with him… I told him “Get out, Dewey, you don’t want a part of this sh!t!” hahaha Dewey Cox… :P But seriously, yeah he was on drugs dome of the time.

    I saw this movie a long time ago, it was a good movie! I never would have guessed an extended cut was gona be released though! :D
