Congratulations to RLSLOG! This is our #1,000 DVDRip post! A big thank you to all our readers, who motivate us to keep writing about new scene releases and share the information.

Now for the movie. Group DiAMOND, which requires no introduction, treats us to another high-profile movie in DVDRip quality. This musical comedy is now available in its DC (Director’s Cut) version, which is 24 minutes longer than the standard. DiAMOND’s decision to release this 120 minutes musical on just 1 CD, with average video bitrate and regular MP3 audio is strange to me. Perhaps another group will pick up the glove and put out a 2 CD release with AC3 audio soon.

Synopsis: Somewhere between pitch-perfect parodies from Christopher Guest and Co. (such as THIS IS SPINAL TAP and A MIGHTY WIND) and slapstick spoofs (such as AIRPLANE and the NAKED GUN) resides the farcical biopic WALK HARD: THE DEWEY COX STORY. Taking the critically lauded Johnny Cash biopic WALK THE LINE as its most obvious inspiration, WALK HARD plows its way through every rock star cliché–from drug use and rampant sex to artistic self-indulgence and spiritual redemption–laying waste to all of them with unremitting blasts of brilliantly lowbrow comedy.

    appreciate post but this 1 is not made for a 1 cd release,,i expected a 2 cd release. hearing of audio isnt so great and the vid bitrate is way too low.

    Actually, it’s pretty simple to predict these releases. DiAMOND usually releases DVDRips on Friday/Saturday, and 2 weeks before the actual DVD retail date. For example, DiAMOND pre’d There Will Be Blood, P2, and Dewey Cox today. All these three movies were set for a DVD release of April 8th 2008.

    Next week DiAMOND will most probably release a DVDRip of Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and Juno.

    Its great to see a post for this movie, and not have people complain about how this movie makes fun of Johnny Cash or Ray Charles. It doesnt. It may make fun of that type of movie, but not of the men they are about. We got to go to a premier and John C. Reilly was in concert as Dewey Cox after the movie. It was some of the most fun i have ever had.

    @41 try using the megashares search engine…

    I hate to complain about releases because I appreciate these being available to others but I can’t understand this 1CD thing. Hard drive space is so cheap, and I’d guess most people that download a lot have high speed, so why sacrifice quality? 648kb video is terrible in my opinion but I’m a 720p addict. I’ll just wait for a 2 cd or DVDR I guess…

    The quality is very good to say the least for 1 cd! Hey fingerling wow you must be an expert I hate to tell you, but I have myself Reincoded and done thousands of Rips over the past few years myself and have seldom had a problem puting a 2 Hour flick on 1 cd and not still had good quality overall stop complaining dude :)
