Welcome Christian, may you find you stay warm and inviting.

@ Tony, I’ve enjoyed DVDSANTA and NERO does a good job of converting media into DVD format.

When will they support multi-cpu’s for this program? It’s a nice program with fantastic results but very slow compared to some others.

Tony burn at a slower speed. I had the skip problem with Sony media. Started burning at 6x speed and it disappeared.

I’d like to know what improvements there if any from previous version.

I’ve used this app quite a bit, (an older version) and really like how simple it is for someone who wants to just burn dvd’s without all the fuss of converting audio and video separately. My only issue have been with some weird versions of AC3 audio on a few files not burning correctly.

Tony, I’ve found that it depends on the disks. I had a bad batch of TDKs that did exactly the same thing.

After looking all around for a simple, yet powerful converter to DVD-video, I landed with this one. I haven’t had one problem with it at all.

Nope, “snoopy,” same simple menu options; ie. Background Image + Title(s). [It's definitely great software, but I'm eagerly awaiting a more advanced menu system.]

    Welcome Christian….

  19. June 27th, 2007 | 06:53

Why bother converting… what I do is I bought a really good RJ TECH XviD player, which plays all the downloaded videos I burned as long as they arent HR.HD . It can play PAL, NTSC and all mpeg-4 formats . All you need is a CD-R and put the avi file onto a Joliet FS . 32 char limit on volume name, 64 char limit on file name.

Better still Mr X just once you have a few Xvid movies put them all onto a data DVD and have 5 or 6 on one disk. A DivX capable DVD player is the way to go :)

Yesterday I was going thru archive of dvd rips and dvdscrr and dl every movie i missed. If you need a new editor i can help too. I’m in warez waters for about five years. Good luck.

You should look for A program called Ashampoo Burning Studio 7
You can burn bin/cue and all other formats.
It is super easy to use.

I agree with Mr X. Why go through the hassle of converting AVI’s to DVD? Just get a DVD player that’s also mpeg-4 compatible, and burn your AVI direct to CD. And if you already have an expensive DVD player that isn’t mpeg-4 compatible, just buy a cheap player that is – you can find them for $30, for Ch**st’s sake. It’ll pay for itself in saved blank DVD’s in no time. No fancy DVD player, or burning to DVD, is going to improve the video quality of a compressed AVI, so a dirt cheap player is good enough.
I don’t even burn to CD anymore – just hook up the computer to the TV. Only burn stuff that I really want to archive.
    Get wise, dumbos !!

For a computer eeeejit like me this works great, completely hassle free on 95 per cent of movies. I have had a couple of discs go bad at the end though for some reason but overall its well worth using if you dont know your RAMs from your ROMs.

    @ Outsidemywindow

I always burn on DVD-RW’s with ConvertXtoDVD and erase them afterwards. Did you try it with Nero (completely erase rewritable disk)
No problems here, works just fine.

I love this program, I’m using it to burn my Episodes of House M.D. :)

    I can fit 10 episodes per DVD, 10 x 40 Minute Episodes @ 1000 KBPS :)

so all in all, it’s a very powerful & noob-friendly program.

would recommend it to anyone who wants to burn a movie, been using it for like the past year :P haven’t had problems.

just burning over a network could cause you problems :P

’cause with me the torrents are downloading 24/7 & the connection gets lost sometimes :P haha

TROJAN – Dont waste your time and effort on this infected crap

  51. August 14th, 2007 | 10:59

supertoke, the version to get is 2.2.2.256

i have had some versions that have had trojans in the keygen. no harm has been done, AVG kept everything under control, so it isnt a big deal.

the 2.2.2.256 version has no keygen but a text file with keys in, so if you’re worried bout it you might feel safer.

    great program though.

Hi all – used to use main concept to do me movies, but once i stumbled on and downloaded this nifty little program i have never looked back.
ease of use – title on menu is all i need for a back up and its a simple few clicks and your away..
NB. Iv’e noticed a few ppl say skipping on dvd’s and freezes – well all i can say is that i use Ritek discs and burn at 4X’s (slower the better) and have NEVER had a porblem.
Again – do download ANY version of this great software and enjoy ! :)

hey guys, I have only two problems with this program. One that is a big issue is when converted some movies won’t play on two out of the three dvd players i have, while i have one that will play anything. theres a box right next to the title when i pop it in the dvd player that plays them all. if the box is right next to the title it usally means it will play on the others also, but if the box is diagnal to the title it won’t play on the others. I wonder if that helps with the problem. The other is sometime the sound does’t play on time as with the video. I found a little remedy that by pressing pause then play the video ussally catches up but that gets old after a while. Can someone please help thank you
