TE have released the latest version of one of the most popular DVD converting programs, its VSOs ConvertXtoDVD.

ConvertXtoDVD is a software to convert and burn your videos to DVD. With ConvertXtoDVD and in a few clicks you can backup your movies to DVD playable on any home DVD player. ConvertXtoDVD supports most popular format such Xvid, MOV, VOB, Mpeg, Mpeg4, MP4, AVI, WMV, DV and stream formats. It converts your files into a compliant DVD Video set of files and burns it
on a DVD media. The aspect ratio can be automatically selected or forced to a specific format. The program works for NTSC and PAL video formats and creates chapters automatically. Multiple audio tracks are supported. Version 2 uses a completely rewritten interface with subtitles support and a lot of new settings.

    What is best program to convert avi to burn on DVD for regular playback? I’ve used this its ok but sometimes playback is glitchy.

    @22 Jdog it’s the DVD burner and disk make that’s important to get reliable playback on dvd players. The converter is responsible for image quality and additional menu functions, audio tracks etc.

    ConvertXDVD is pretty much the best out there. It’s the easiet to use and produces adequate results. Some will tell there are better but those are usually more work.

    Here’s some tips for Quality burning:

    1.Slow the burner down to 4-8x. preferably 4x. The faster the more likely errors will occur.

    2.Set video processing to Letterbox

    3.Try not buying the cheapest DVD’s. Some cheapys don’t work well. not that you need the highest quality but you get what you pay for. also make sure they are DVD+R not DVD-R.

    4.You can try Two-pass encoding, it’s slow but does produce better quality.

    Has anyone been able to extract this? I’ve tried from a bunch of different links and keep getting the same error: “You need to have the following volume to continue extraction: VSO.Software.ConvertXtoDVD.4.v4.0.9.322a-TE\tec4322.r00″ Everyone is posting links of the same archive that doesn’t work. I’m using the latest winrar.
