    Everybody is right ! Their are a lot of Progs out there. But none better or faster then this one, The Quality for such a simple Program is great. It also incorporates Subs into your DVD for those hard to understand movies. I’ve had no problems with any of my Conversions…O did I mention it even burns your DVD

Its just the avi file amd i missing something here do i have to dload a new patch? Please i know tech support isnt your problem and im probably a noob by asking this but can anyone make any recomendations on how to convert a avi file after i extract it w Winrar.

    I’ve seen new versions come and go, with mixed reviews regarding reliability and stability. Personally, I’m still using 2.2.3.258 with flawless results. If someone can inform me of a 50% speed increase or an incompatibility of the old versions to upcoming video formats, then I’ll consider ‘upgrading’… otherwise, I’ll stick with my 99.9% perfect results with this version. :D

    great peace of software never had a problem with it unlike nero you never have problems with out of sinc audio.
    i just wish you could burn the TS files you have made with this to dvd faster it takes like 15mins and nero once you have made ur avi into an image its faster at burning the image to dvd thats the only bad point i have the time it takes to burn the TS files hope they get that down to a fine art ;-)

  46. Armageddon_2012
    July 8th, 2008 | 19:59

    #36, no this will not hardcode the subs to .avi, for that use virtualdub + subtitler plugin, but it will add the subs file to the dvd output which can be enabled/disabled via menu on standalone player.

    @20 How about providing proof that it’s a trojan? heres a virustotal scan of the BRD keygen from his file:

    http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/6e53bf7e465ad1ee1067d06bcc695cec

    Next time provide some proof please

    “I always scan files first. it is a ie/firefox password trojan that looks for stored info, like credit card numbers and such.”

    Show the results of your scan, as well as an MD5 checksum on the keygen…No? ok then STFU and stop scaring people lol!

  49. Wob
    July 8th, 2008 | 20:50

    @53
    Don’t blame #20 because you didn’t even check the setup file which contains a trojan, and here’s a proof :

    http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/3b0409fa6be56e8b64d9c90e0beeba06

    so STFU yourself…

    The best avi to dvd converter!! Only one thing: sometimes i can´t find the way to add the subtitles correctly, i mean, the subs appears below the black bars or out of the movie box. I’ve tried putting 4:3 aspect ratio by default but i guess is something about the aspect ratio of the movie itself. Any sugestions?

    #15 is providing Fake posts with Password stealing trojans included in his software. It steals and decrypts all firefox and internet explorer passwords and logins and then sends the info to his ftp site.

    Please remove his post.

    If you want better picture quality use TMPGenc XPress 4.0

    VSO ConvertX only uses a 1 pass encode whereas TMPGenc uses a proper 2 pass encode= much better picture quality.

    Winavi is about a 1.5 x faster than X, but this program handles every file you throw at it. And it has a bit more features you can play with, unlike Winavi.

    If you want the fastest converting possible, go with WinAvi.. But if you want a quality dvd, with quality menus and such, use this!

  75. g_wiz
    July 9th, 2008 | 09:52

    I have used convertx and tmpgenc dvd author 3. I found dvd author to be magnificent with freedom of menu creation but convertx offers much faster encoding plus video filters (e.g.: cropping, stretching). If only convertx had the menu capabilities of dvd author… what a wonderful world this would be.

  76. stalin
    July 9th, 2008 | 11:41

    @78

    Depends on your machine. I’ve tried lots of different converting apps and convertX (v3) is the fastest as it can handle quad core processors quite well imo. Also this is less hassle. Insert DVD, drag & drop then click convert and 20 mins later you have a great quality DVD. You can even have several running at the same time.
    I’ll stick with this app until something better comes along.
