Way to screw up a good product!

I just updated from the 2.x.x and this one does not have the option to merge 2 files. Nor do I see the time remaining anythere. Not sure that was a good idea, good thing I didnt uninstall my other one.

The old version give me mor edata on a disc, and an easier menu. Stick with COnvertX 2

    May 27th, 2008 | 03:04

    @ 20 21

Might have to uninstall old version and clean your reg files out and should have no issues. The merge button appears when you select a video file it is the second icon on the right side pannel. Time remaining is calculated after the first min so it takes a bit to show up.

I dont know about the more data on disc i find it over does the bitrate if it knows that that is the only file on the disc and seem to make it large for no reason might be a settting somewhere i think people had issues if the image was to small on some dvds this might be a workaround? The minimilist menu is the same as old one just with fade in and out animations not a big enough change for me to call it not as easy? And in this version you get menu preview so you know what it will look like ahead of time just open up the video preview while building up the dvd menu names.

I had a lot of issues with this not dealing with crop correctly when putting TV shows onto DVD. Didn’t have issues with WinAVI so use that now and it works well.

    May 27th, 2008 | 04:18

    @20

You can merge files using this version, It isn’t as simple as 2.0 but it works well.

Although Ver 3 seems to be more complicated, I like it more.

    May 27th, 2008 | 04:30

update? like heck! almost every week there is a new version of this? I am just going to stick with the version I am using until they come out with version 4 and with the rate of updates that can be like in a month. LOL

    May 27th, 2008 | 04:43

Im going to stick with my old WORKING version that is totally STABLE!!!

You have to wonder about a program that updates as much as this….???

I enjoy this program, but only some older versions… I have had way too many problems with updates for this….

I will stay with this OLDER version and WinAVI.

peeps updating every time a new piece of code for a shareware app comes out don’t have enough to do with their lives I reckon. If the version you’ve got works why bother to update? Next time you do a format software rebuild then put in the latest versions. cause prolly latest OS will need it then.
3 does seem to be a bit of a dog compared to 2. designers musta had too much spare time and revamped the prog when he/she didn’t need to.
The file merge thing may have been fixed so it worked better cause old dvd players couldn’t handle the follow on command. I used to splice the avis with Vob Sub first otherwise all the mug friends who splashed huge bucks on a dvd player when they first came out would get hot under the collar when their player couldn’t play the second part and a $30 taiwan special could.

“I had a lot of issues with this not dealing with crop correctly when putting TV shows onto DVD. Didn’t have issues with WinAVI so use that now and it works well.”

I tried WinAVI and it screwed up the aspect ration on everything that wasn’t perfectly 4:3 or 16:1. It would stretch the image to fit, rather than properly letterboxing it. EasyDVD Creator seems to mainatin the correct aspect ration, but has no option to restrict the output size, and so tends to make 7-8GB DVDs.

As for why apps like this are updated so often, I can’t help wondering if they do it to invalidate the pirated serials and keygens.

jiggaboo…Why don’t U learn his language..If U feel English is so easy.. English happens to be one of the hardest languages to learn, due to so many words the same, but with different meanings. Also all the slang..So leave the poor guy alone, help if U can and got the intelligence, or not if your that Stupid..I hope U noticed I used Stupid instead of Ignorance. Being ignorance can be taught, Stupidity can’t..Hope you can understand Stupid

Why is it that when I add an 8gb mkv file it says it will only take up 1.94gb of a 4.7gb disc in the bottom left hand corner? Am I missing something on how to maximize a file to take up the whole blank disc?

Used to use Nero 7, 8. Then switched to this.

It’s not as user friendly has Nero Vision but this has subtitle support is much smaller and takes advantage of a 64 bit system for faster conversion.

The crack for this version works.

This is an awesome program to quickly burn to DVD. But the quality isn’t that great when comparing with other programs that over 2pass encoding.
