Does SP1 perform the same function as Update KB94051?
Because I would like to install SP1 without having my computer to go to "reduced functionality" or registering again.

Do not install Vista Update KB940510.

Microsoft released KB940510 as a 'Critical update'. Windows Update will automatically install KB940510 if you turn on “Automatic Updates” option. However, if you manually update, you can choose to ignore and hide the 3.0 MB update if you don’t want to install it. To do so, open “Windows Updates”, check for updates, and if no updates have been offered or you cannot see KB940510. Then click on “View available updates”, right click on “Update for Windows Vista (KB940510)” and then select “Hide update”.

The Windows Update KB940510 installs a detector or sniffer that scans through the Windows Vista system looking for installed or tampered activation cracks or exploits to illegally bypass product activation requirements and use Vista without a legitimate license or product key.
-------------------

Uninstall KB940510:
If you have done so, after installing update KB940510 and BEFORE restarting the computer, check if the KB940510 is installed or not from Install Updates list or search for all “wgaer_m*” files using Advanced Search. Make sure that you select all local drives or everywhere as searched location, and check the option to include non-indexed, hidden, and system files. You will likely see one or two files starting with wgaer_m. Delete all files found and then restart the computer. All detection will be done, and Vista will be working as normal.

Vista SP1 All Version Activator.

NOTE: Update KB940510 must not be installed on your Vista. If it is, you will need to format and reinstall. See above Uninstall KB940510 is you haven't rebooted.

I got norwegian version of vista. I got the option to download and install sp1 a few days ago. bluescreen + constant restart of the computer was the result. Had to "repair" windows to a previous functional state.

it was on auto-update for a while now...
as for the Paradox OEM bios hack... I've been using it with SP1 for a month now with no issues

SP1 makes your file transfers as fast as they should be ... that's about it.

For a Vista that has the paradox bios crack on it, how do I go to SP1 and still have it registered? Is there a new crack?
