Yes, but nevertheless emulation does not make a difference when a program takes up so many resources. Stay with Daemon or Alcohol or just DL and see what I mean.

This program looks great will unistall very well, however, this is one memory hog to say the least. Many features, would appear to be better than both Alcohol 120% or Daemon but I will stick with Alcohol due system memory use. I am running with as much spped in all areas and it turns my computer into a snail! Peace !

@22 On an ntfs drive, just enable folder compression on the folders containing the disc images, unless of course you are talking about formats like uif specifically.

@15, "eitanois":

Thanks for the answer, I thought that's what they meant, but couldn't be sure. So, basically, this program probably makes a low level kernel hook that intercepts IDE calls, and, if told so, redirects them to the virtual drive daemon...

That's all nice but I have never found it hard to modify the "install drive letter" value in registry or an .ini file of a game so that it matches the drive letter I assigned to the image drive... Saves the trouble of reassigning drive letters..

@19 - Small fee my ass... 100 Euros per license, and only for 5 years of upgrades. Though I see there is a special advertised on the site for people purchasing more than one copy at the moment, but it is still ridiculously overpriced. Of course, Ill wait till they announce the "free" version here on rlslog ;-)

why would someone use anything different than DT pro - beats me

why would someone go and post "included serial number" for it - beats me
DTPro requires licensed key

imo, if you are using DT everyday when playing your games, it's worth paying a small fee and having lifetime upgrades for it

You're kidding me? Wow, that discourages any use of it in my book. Can't stand proprietary formats.
