Thank you also. While waiting for subs to download per @64 I again visited the site link of @37. I was able to download and yes, the english subs work like a charm. I dumb of me to try every other link except that one (I thought it was a marketing link).

I really do appreciate all the help provided by everyone, not only here, but everywhere on this site.

the torrent @7 posted has the subtitles… if you already have the movie just use client like Utorrent to just download the subs…

English Subs: I tried the site mentioned by The Creeper above (english subs: http://www.divxplanet.com/sub/s/82893/Hatsuyuki-no-koi-Virgin-snow.html), but cannot figure out how to actually download the subs. Does anyone know of another site to get subs (i.e., Subscene or Opensubtitles)?
