Don’t believe the hype! I have no idea how this movie has obtained cult status. Sure it’s an original, far-out idea, but the story goes nowhere. And effects that may have been cutting edge 25 yrs ago, are unlikely to amaze anyone today. If the movie seems intriguing, you’re going to download it anyway, but a lot of you will end up agreeing with me.

I can only agree with above poster of how good this movie is. It’s Cronenberg weird as usual, old… and freakin amazing in so many ways. Like someone else said “way ahead of it’s time”. I would say this is Cronenberg’s best work to date…

But that’s just my opinion.

If you ever get the chance, check out the Criterion Collection release of Videodrome, its expensive to buy (i had to pay $60 for it) but it is definately worth it if you enjoy the film/cronenberg.
