Van Wilder 2 R5 XViD-PUKKA
Thank God it’s Friday, was a summer party here on Crete but now I thank PUKKA for brining out this movie (joking). I haven’t seen the trailer but I liked the first movie with Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid a lot. Some of you don’t like this kind of movies and I can understand why, but you don’t have to take this kind of movies so serious. I’ll watch this tonight or tomorrow and I hope it’s not nuked, enjoy!
Edit: I’m really disappointed after watching this movie. The should better did not make this one and bring a negative picture to the first one movie. I have seen better movies with Kal Penn and he was the only one reason for seeing this one.
“Van Wilder Deux: The Rise of Taj” is the sequel to the successful 2002 release, National Lampoon’s “Van Wilder.” Taj (Kal Penn) from the first film, heads to England’s prestigious Oxford University to further his studies while in the process, showing the uptight student body how to party.
Taj Badalandabad (Kal Penn), the personal assistant to the legendary Van Wilder, has just graduated Coolidge College and is now on his way to England’s Camford University. Taj is on a quest to follow in the footsteps of his father’s legend as a ladies’ man at Camford, beginning with membership to an exclusive campus Fraternal Guild, the Fox and Hounds, where Taj hopes he will become the next generation of Badalandabads to be deservedly nicknamed the “Sultan of Sheets.”
But when Taj arrives at the venerated campus, he quickly discovers that he has not, in fact, been accepted to the Fraternal Guild, and that the stuffy head of the Fox and Hounds - Pip Everett (Daniel Percival), the Earl of Grey - is, in fact, a wanker.
After his faithful bulldog Ballzac leaves a present on one of the Fox and Hounds antique chairs, Taj seeks out the only housing available on campus and finds himself suddenly “Head of House” for a group of student misfits - Sadie (Holly Davidson), a gorgeous Cockney girl with a mouth like a sailor; Seamus (Glen Barry), an ale-swillin’ English-baiting Irishman; Gethin (Anthony Cozens), a dual math and quantum physics major who is not only brainy but super-nerdy; and Simon (Steven Rathman), who never speaks.
Also, as part of his duties, Taj finds out that he will be a history teacher to his new mates and that his teaching supervisor will be Charlotte Higginson (Lauren Cohan), a serious English beauty with a wild streak who just happens to be dating Pip Everett. Taj is instantly smitten with Charlotte. Charlotte instantly is not smitten in return…

One of the very few national lampoon stories I’ll watch.
I’ll probably watch just because of Kal Penn.
this movie isn’t as good as the first one..
It goes without saying it wouldn’t be as good as the first without Ryan Reynolds, he always makes a comedy movie better. But even so I have seen worse movies the past few years that weren’t as enjoyable. The 2/10 was most likely due to people falling into two areas when rating it. They other disliked the lack of nudity/sexuality when there are a decent bit of sexual jokes. Or they are trying to compare the movie to the original van wilder which isn’t fair considering that movie is up there in the “must own dvd” list. Note this movie is only nicknamed “Van Wilder 2″ and there is no 2 on the poster.
But it still wasn’t the best thing either. Maybe a 4.5/10 but still decently enjoyable to watch. Also have to give credit that they reused some jokes yet it didn’t come off as annoying like other movies such as the newer american pie movies which seem to only made up of only reused jokes and nudity to try and sell a few dvds. Not to mention the girls on that even got me to cringe at one point and i think girls gone wild dvds are cheaper and i hope they have better looking girls so i dont quite understand their marketing plan. It could have been better but wasn’t “a fucking crap movie” either.
So go try to movie and see for yourself. Not the best but much better than half the crap they have released this last year or even last 5 years and tried to pass as comedy. Compare it to that “crap” instead of the original van wilder movie and it’d probably rate 6/10 but what do you expect, no one’s setting the bar very high anymore.
1st movie was better. But good release still =)
