DOT told me that the R5 would be released soon, and he was right. This was another movie which i missed out on because i was pretty busy. Sadly we hadn’t gotten a copy of an DVDSCR with the others. But here it is, the R5 of Valkyrie. Downloading now :)

Tom Cruise appears as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the key plotters. Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, Terence Stamp and Tom Wilkinson also feature. Cruise’s casting caused controversy among German politicians and members of von Stauffenberg’s family because of the actor’s practice of Scientology, which is considered a cult in the country. German newspapers and filmmakers supported the film to spread global awareness of von Stauffenberg’s plot. The filmmakers initially had difficulty setting up filming locations in Germany due to the controversy, but they were later given leeway to film in locations pertaining to the film’s story, such as Berlin’s historic Bendlerblock.

    The English subs floating around for this are wrong.
    But since the English subs are only needed in the very beginning of the film, Apple hosts a quicktime download of the first six minutes of Valkyrie with the English subtitles hardcoded.
    You can either copy the proper subs or convert the quicktime and splice it in wuth the R5 divx when you make a DVD.

    movies like this are supposed to send a message. the reason why this event raises so much attention here in germany is that it is the proof that not all germans were naz1s and that even in the high german military there was an opposition.

    @58 You just got a vcd dvd player? Sure its not divx?

    If its VcD for one you just ripped yourself off and I hope you can return it. BUT you can burn VCD's with nero 7.

    So if you got nero you load up smart-start and find the make VCD option and it SHOULD handle all the conversion for you….
    But really I would take it back. VCD's are useless though if you can return it DO so immediately.

    I am almost positive you cannot burn a vcd to dvd.

    Divise has a HIGHER bitrate around 1577

    BDK bitrate is a LOW 877

    I got the Devise version it also includes a subpack and with double the bitrate it will make for a much better picture

    how do i get subs to burn to the dvd when i burn the divx to a disc with nero 9???

    ahhh the subtle differences… dont ya love it how z.e.r.o.s.e.c. review site doesnt change the whole page to a pathetic ad when yor trying to read the actual review like this site does! But then again, they post in right categories all the time unlike a few guys here.

    anyone knows why the subs dont work with the rapidsharelink? when i tried converting movie with convertxtodvd. i looked at the subtitle it says 0 not 1.

    I put this on DVD and the audio is not bad at all. It is OOS at times but not bad enough to stop watching the movie. The audio sounded very low on the PC but once on dvd, it was fine.
