Vacancy DVDSCR XviD-SmCkN
A totally unknown groups SmCkN comes out with a new dvd screener of Vacancy, a recent horror from director Nimrod Antal. I was somehow surprised by Vacancy – it mixes horror and thriller elements in a pretty catchy substance of fear and action. It’s pretty hard to tell the difference between this dvd screener and recent R5 rip, because they look almost identical (no black & white scenes). I you missed the R5 version, this can be a good chance to see the movie again…
David and Amy Fox find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere when their car breaks down. Luckily, they come across a motel with a TV to entertain them during their overnight stay. However, there’s something very strange and familiar about the Grade-Z slasher movies that the motel broadcasts for its guests’ enjoyment. They all appear to be filmed in the very same room they occupy! Realizing that they are trapped in their room with hidden cameras now aimed at them filming their every move, David and Amy desperately find a means of escape through locked doors, crawlspaces and underground tunnels before they too become the newest stars of the mystery filmmaker’s next cult classic!

Great! Thanks for the post! I’ve been wanting to check out this movie. But I hadn’t downloaded the R5, I was unsure about the movie at the time. I think I might just grab this now.
i saw the movie is decent quality but It was something else than I expected, it looks like just another horror movie with 2 people going somewhere… trouble and the same story… but the 2 actors made it somehow good… will there be vacancy 2?

I agree that the only thing that (barely) salvages this movie is the two lead actors. The story sucks badly though, it’s also way too drawn out. It could have been really great with those actors though, just some other director and more packed storyline.
Worth a watch, but nothing that exiting.

well the parts that were in Russian were later nuked and taken out. Guess you didn’t find yourself a better copy at the time.
GOOD MOVIE when there are a lot of B-Movies in this segment.

If u ask me the movie was pretty good… At times slow, but it builds tension. I like the fact that the movie doesn’t have “superman killers” in it

I got his point without problem. How silly are you? Of course no-one knows when something is released in pirate form of the net. All that you can follow are the official DVD release dates, if DVDRs or dvdrips are what you’re after, and usually you can expect something to be released between some weeks before that. Other type of pirated releases (tc, ts, cam etc), how the hell can anyone predict when they are released?

I tried to compare the sample to the same passage in PUKKA’s R5 release and could not find the slightest difference
Same sound, same image (listen at 40s of the sample/24′37 in pukka’s, even the crackling sound of the phone is there)
And not surprisingly, it’s nuked on vcdquality as being a mislabeled dvdscreen&dupe of pukka =)
They have altered the video, look about 31 and 32 min. inside the movie something about seals!
