VA-Spider-Man 3-(OST)-2007-uF
I will make a small exception today and post one more music release apart from A.J.’s usual 1 post per day. This release is a new soundtrack for Spiderman 3. We already had the game here, now the soundtrack so only the most important part is missing: the movie itself. Talking about music on this OST, I must say it simply rocks – 16 tracks of mostly rock music warms you up a lot and I’m pretty sure they will suit the movie really well. The first cam of Spiderman 3 will hopefuly appear at the beginning of the next week.
You know you’re dealing with a real blockbuster when the soundtrack is made up not only of rocking tracks, but of rocking tracks that were recorded specifically for the movie instead of being fished out of various preexisting albums. (Okay, except for Chubby Checker’s “The Twist”–that one’s not hot off the presses.) Such is the power of Spidey that he inspired the likes of Snow Patrol, the Killers, Jet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Wolfmother–and of course you just have to look at the title of “The Supreme Being Teaches Spider-Man How to Be in Love” to know the song is by the Flaming Lips.

The overall mood is less heavy than on the previous soundtrack, with the selection hitting pretty close to an alt-rock bull’s eye. Highlights include “Sealings,” a return to form for Yeah Yeah Yeahs; the Walkmen’s evocative “Red River”; and Jet’s “Falling Star,” a muscular piece of retro-balladry. Among the oddities are Coconut Records, the new project of actor (and former Phantom Planet member) Jason Schwartzman; its contribution, the lovely “Summer Day,” features backup vocals by Kirsten “Mary Jane” Dunst. Still, sometimes a big name is not needed: One of the best tracks, the anthemic “Portrait of a Summer Thief,” is by the unsigned (as of this writing) Austin band Sounds Under Radio.

Snow Patrol – “Signal Fire”
The Killers – “Move Away”

Most of these songs are straight garbage.

crackles a bit in the beginning, shame because it’s The Flaming Flips, which is guaranteed to be decent.
but will it be as good as th TMNT OST ?
There’s a repack out
these songs are fucking shitty, they better sound good with spiderman kicking people in the face
I simply HATE these type of soundtrack… I like the SCORE one… I bet 90% of these music or 100% of it doesn’t appear on the movie, like ALL these type of release.
THEY ARE SHIT!
This is missing the best track from the whole soundtrack. The Beatsteaks – Cut The Top Off (Tito Maas Dirty Rocker Remix), it’s kind of disappointing because you know now the Beatsteaks are getting noticed and won’t be the foreign gem from Germany.. I just hope they don’t hit MTV and be tainted forever.. (Being the background music on the European Viva La Bam episode doesn’t count, Bam picked it himself, not MTV). For those who don’t know, check out the Beatsteaks just Google them and check out the official site, they are from Germany.. Damn there it goes..

Yeah, it’s in there. lol
Yeah, are they gonna release the score? Because that is what I am usually looking for in a soundtrack. I downloaded this without reading the track listing, and I was like hey, where’s the orchestra? Does anyone know if the SCORE will be released?
There are alot of sountracks like that, I dont know why they make them and leave all the best music behind…
I was just wondering, there is a freaking awsum music when the Sand-man appears and he learns to transform himself. This is the best music in the whole film, I think, and I really want to know it’s name. Anybody?
whats the name of the jazzy song which played when brock has been fired and parker turns into a cool guy.
it’s around the 90 min in the film.
