VA - RLSLOG 2nd Anniversary in Memory of Scit (2008)

Today marks the 2nd year that RLSLOG.net has been running. With the hard work of the editorial team, we give the readers the best that the scene has to offer. At the beginning of the month, I had a small idea to create a little compilation album of various songs and then offer them up to download for our 2nd birthday. I became discouraged and thought I would not have it complete by the 19th. The late Sander van den Hout passed on the 15th this month. His untimely death inspired me to use this compilation album as a coping mechanism, as we all have different ways of expressing ourselves. I decided to incorporate nerdcore, specifically relating to warez and the scene. Then I dug around in my large collection of chiptunes to find some good tracks that had something to do with the recent circumstances that we encountered. I hope you all enjoy, and when you listen to these tracks that you think of Scit in memory, and how great of an editor and friend he was. Special thanks go to EoN, PolishOX, Shiny and anyone else who helped me somehow with this album, such as the original artists who created these tracks!

    @101

    Oh, please.

    So, now you’re basically suggesting that his friends at that athletic club ( http://www.av-attila.nl/nieuws/237/ ) are part of your imaginary hoax?

    Or are you telling me that he staged his own suicide?

    I appreciate that you still want that this kid would be alive, but sometimes you got to face the harsh reality in which these kinds of things happen. It’s not a pretty world out there…

    Experience is knowledge. Let’s hope the trash talkers are graced with what they lack, a humbling experience.

    I haven’t been on this site for very long, so I never knew Scit. I give my best wishes and prayers to Scit’s family, the rlslog team and members, I hope everyone of you make it through this trying time, God bless.

    @102

    Thank you for realizing that was not me. :)

    Let’s just end this and stop replying to the crule people who are saying this is a sham. Just ignore them. They will grow tired of it.

    Things like this happen in life and they suck. And what makes it worse is mean people who make it suck more by acting like this. I feel bad for Martin and the RLS team because they have to read those remarks talking about their friend. Don’t worry Martin and Mr. X and all, God just needed someone to help Him find torrents!

    Ok first off let me start by saying I feel for anyone who knew him on the IRCs or in real life, he was a shy person but loved to be himself. Now for the speculators, first thing is that suicide is not a BIG deal outside of Western Culture except for maybe Japan but then it is just ignored or the death is shunned and never happened. Just because there was a suicide DOES NOT mean that it will freaking reach global news channels. And since he was a pirate it won’t! If any of us died tomm from suicide, we would be the only ones who cared PERIOD! Second let’s think of what language this was in… uh Dutch! Have you heard a person who speaks English speak perfect Dutch before or vice-versa? No! Now shut up and stop trolling the damn sites!

    @109 I think about my friend all the time, and I know he’s forgiven, because I forgave him over 11 years ago. You should think before you type, you don’t have an f’ing clue who’s reading.

    i would only comment on 1 thing… people saying that he is online on IRC after his death…. if he use´s IRC alot i dont think there´s no doubt that he uses a “IRC Shell” meaning that it is online 24/7 even when his pc isent on at all…. dont believe me check…

    Some of the comments are pretty disgusting, whether he died or not doesn’t deserve give people the right to post these things JUST IN CASE, but i don’t see why rlslog would lie - and this is a very nice gesture (the cd’s), good quality and good music. RIP.

    Omg guys, you dont know how much this does to me… I was one of the very close friends of Sander, and still go to his parents atleast once a week… I miss him dearely and i had trouble keeping my tears when i stumbled across this post! oO

    Thank you rlslog for remembering him in this way! You are the best! ‘Promoe - These walls dont lie’ would make a very good addition to the list, but that is just my opinion! Keep it up people.

    Best wishes, Jasper

    I would like to wish Sander aka Scit a happy birthday. It was all I could think about today. Whereever he is now, I really hope he hears this. I just feel like I have to comment on this, and I was actually surprised we didn’t do a memorial post for him because of his birthday. It’s hard to believe he would have been 20. It’s really hard to move on, but we have to. Goodbye Sander, I’ll see you on the other side.
