VA – RLSLOG 2nd Anniversary in Memory of Scit (2008)
Today marks the 2nd year that RLSLOG.net has been running. With the hard work of the editorial team, we give the readers the best that the scene has to offer. At the beginning of the month, I had a small idea to create a little compilation album of various songs and then offer them up to download for our 2nd birthday. I became discouraged and thought I would not have it complete by the 19th. The late Sander van den Hout passed on the 15th this month. His untimely death inspired me to use this compilation album as a coping mechanism, as we all have different ways of expressing ourselves. I decided to incorporate nerdcore, specifically relating to warez and the scene. Then I dug around in my large collection of chiptunes to find some good tracks that had something to do with the recent circumstances that we encountered. I hope you all enjoy, and when you listen to these tracks that you think of Scit in memory, and how great of an editor and friend he was. Special thanks go to EoN, PolishOX, Shiny and anyone else who helped me somehow with this album, such as the original artists who created these tracks!

Interesting, I’ll definitely be listening to this, and condolences again for his passing, the tubes will miss him.
Not my kind of music but a nice touch. All I can say is please donate some money to help lines in your areas. Volunteer to help kids in your area (yes I know he was not a kid but it’s never too early to help someone in need). Learn about depression and recognize the symptoms. Being aware that someone close to you may be in danger could save their lives and in effect the lives of others.

Shine on, you crazy diamond. Most will miss you, even if we hardly knew you. It’s always a tragedy to hear things like this happen, I couldn’t imagine what sort of grief his family is going through. I hope they are able to overcome the grief and move on, though it’ll be really tough. My prayer goes out to his family, and Scit. Let’s hope we him on the other side.

the .SFV file verification checksum listing is dogged in this.
To fix it simply edit the sfv in txt, remove the directory /VA-___ directory and just keep the tracknames with the checksum and the files verify ok.

I hope this event teaches us all a lesson about suicide and how it hurts not just yourself but so many around you, and prolly people you didnt even know cared. He prolly didnt even know how much he was loved. maybe tonight we should make sure to tell the people we love that we love them, just to make sure they know.

Funny, for the last 2 days I have searched and searched the national and regional dutch press for such a tragic story and I came up with…. ZERO, NADA, NOTHING !
There has been NO SUICIDE in Tilburg for quite some time now, dont believe me, go search yourself and see. As for the picture MrX uses, why would it be in English? It would be in Dutch and again nowhere can any reference from official sources be found. So as for one that actually did some searching around before I made my mind up, its nice to see that the staff at Rlslog can be so sick into fooling us all that some looser commited suicide when in fact IT NEVER HAPPENED. If it did then prove it please and no links to homemade sites anyone can do that.

That obituary is indeed very suspicious as the english is horrible so why would it be written not just in english but bad english? This is very sick and disturbing and I for one will stick with vcdquality, not this lame site.

I don’t know about The Netherlands. But at least in my country there is a journalistic code in the media. Do not to report on suicides! (With the exception of (inter)national celebrities, politicians etc.) This self-censorship is supposedly there to prevent the enabling of copycats.

1. In the Nederlands suicide IS reported in the press.
2. There is absolutly nothing anywhere to be found apart from a very suspicious link provided by MrX. Not even the radio stations said anything about it.
3. I’m still waiting for the “we are collecting donations” to star while the staff sit back and rake in a few bucks from a sick and twisted post regarding a fake suicide from one of its staff members that was actually spotted alive and well yesterday (That was on mIRC if you wanted to know how).
4. Omg guys, you dont know how much this does to me… I was one of the very close friends of Sander, and still go to his parents atleast once a week… I miss him dearely and i had trouble keeping my tears when i stumbled across this post! oO
