As usual, XXL released the Februray CD of Promo Only Mainstream Radio US. Again, Promo Only, Inc., is the nation’s largest provider of promotional content, offering music on CD and music video on DVD designed to meet the specific needs of music professionals and entertainment venues. Promo Only also provides custom video remixes to record labels and custom programming and content to the hospitality industry via its Business Music Division.     some underground/independent music is all I am interested in.

    you could even link to free netreleases! Every week or so there are so many good ones of these, they totally overshadow any commerical releases imo

    Agree with Ninja Gaijin – No offense, Will, but Promo Only isn't even really used by "music professionals and entertainment venues"… Unless you mean "crappy karaoke firms who need filler-music, and bars that can't afford DJ's".

    Music pro's (radio) get real promos, which then get ripped to hard disk for playback. And the only 'entertainment venues' worth going to have DJs or real music.

    Not trying to poke fun, it's just that (like NG said) your time would be better spent digging up stuff that might slip under the radar otherwise. Just some friendly advice, that's all.

    What has that got to do with it? You call me an idiot, quote me, and then make an assumption about my virginity before advising me not to do something I'm not doing.

    My point was simply that these CDs are rather pointless scene releases, since anyone who wants to hear a-list songs on general release will either switch on their radio or download the single, and any "Industry Pro's use Promo Only"-mystique is pure BS. I wasn't worrying about what other people do, and if you do in fact frequent these elusive 'entertainment venues' which play CDs from the Promo Only series, I suppose it should be obvious why your best argument is to throw pathetic insults and aspersions about other people's sex lives.

    I'd love to take the high ground, but the only reasonable response to a post like yours is to point out that my virginity was taken years ago by your mother.
