VA – Old School Hip Hop Jams (2007)
I understand not everyone is into house or trance these days, so this album will be targeted for those of you who don’t say a sentence without “peace nigga”. Yeah, Old School Hip Hop Jams offers a 2 CD look back in 1990s, where hip hop sounded little different than today. Don’t expect Kanye or Fifty on this compilation, but rather legends like NWA, Ice Cube or House of Pain.
The album is due October 30 in the real world, so you get it with a nice advance as well.

hmm, i work at Future Shop in the entertainment department and that cd has been out for weeks.
Uh…. okay. We know that there hasn’t been a lot of music rls lately. But the first one was fine, we don’t need the other 2. >_
A the good old days when rapers dident have “i pimp my hoes” in every sentance.and brag on how many times they been shot, bloody pathatic. very nice release.
This is not old school hip hop. This is late 80’s early 90’s (with one exception).
Back when rap wasn’t the recycled, rehashed bag of crap that is it now. The really sad thing, is I bet most of the people that still listen to the genre today, haven’t heard the majority of these songs.
I’m not dissing anyone’s use of English on here – I know how hard it can be to use forums in another language – but the typo mistake of “rapers” instead of “rappers” by #6 did make me chuckle…
@D
agreed. But it’s a nice set.
Ol’school = Treacherous 3, Kurtis Blow, Bambataa, Melle Mel, etc…

I totally agree, I have never understood why people miss-use the term all the time, those tunes are just ‘old’…it really fooks me off
What!? Nothing with the great group “The Fat Boys” !?
What no Morris Major & the Minors?
What no “Rat Rapping”?
Scandalous
Old school? Maybe not. Worth the download any way? Most def.
please rapidshare????
huh?! If this is old school hip hop, which most people brag about being the real thing, I think I’ll stick to rock/metal n trance/electronica
Judging by the comments, its not. So I’ll try some real rap
