If you want to listen to some trance try etn.com , DI.FM , AVB A state of trance , Above and Beyond Trance around the World , PVD VONYC Session , and many more they're a lot of trance internet radio streams and trance isn't dead it's still the biggest electronic genre just not in the states but world wide.

Well yes, Trance died in about 2003 because E's went out of fashion and coke took over. Hence all the house stuff so the best trance music was made before then. You get odd exceptions (thank you Markus Shultz) but ye the oldy's are the best

Well it's typical really. Most people don't know what trance is, and themarketing departments of these crappy euro-dance CDs put the word 'trance' in the title and brainwash the naive into thinking that that's what is on the CD.

IMO it certainly isn't "one of the best trance collections". To be honest, they don't seem to make any these days. There's a new Cream Future Trance CD out at the moment, but even that's fairly commercial. If you want a decent couple of trance compilations, you need to go old-school:

Cream: Future Trance Volumes 1, 2 (and almost) 3.
Gatecrasher Experience (CD 1 in particular).

And any of the MoS Trance Nation CDs made before 2002.

@13 – To be honest, most of those producers you've mentioned could barely be called trance either. Back in the day they were great, but these days they all produce (and play) the sdame boring generic crap.

Yes this is not trance at all. There are maybe 3 trance tracks (inc the Pvd one) on it mixed in with europop. Cascada are the modern day equivalent of Abba (That's not a good thing).

Trance is DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn , Rank 1, PUSH I could go on, but no-one's listening anyways.
