I’m not into this kind of house, but if you guys don’t like house, lay off. There’s enough hate as it is when it comes to genres, and you guys aren’t helping make trance lovers look any better by hating on other forms of EDM. Bad enough rap and pop and rock all hate on EDM, now EDM sub genres are going to hate on each other? Seriously, get off your high horse. Electronic music listeners used to separate ourselves from other main stream genres because we enjoyed music of all kinds, and kept an open mind. If we didn’t like something we just kept our mouths shut and went about our business.

As for trance DJs, there’s a lot of them. Obviously you’ve got your above and beyond, armin van buuren, paul van dyk, tiesto, aly & fila, list goes on but there’s fringe DJs who play variations like ferry corsten, andy moor, markus schulz, gareth emery, kyau & albert.

  27. leehuas
    June 27th, 2008 | 10:54

House is nowhere as near as good as it used to be like the good old days of Old Skool house, Trance rocks and is way more uplifting and energtic than House but not as over the top as Hard House.

@27,if its so easy your 4 yr old brother wont have any problems becoming the next Tiesto or Armin Van Buuren then will he? :)

Thanks for the upload and links.

    @41
use EAC. at least that’s what i use. you have to convert the mp3 into wav then open the wav along with .cue file in EAC [Tools > Split WAV By Cue Sheet > With Gaps/With Gaps Corrected]. EAC should generate individual wav files according to the cue sheet. then convert back to mp3.

sounds a bit tedious, i know.

people when are most of you going to wake up? i dont know if you have noticed but these days most tracks are not one ‘genre’(for example a trance track or a house track),they are mixture of all genres!!! i love my trance but i also like other styles of dance music like house,minimal-techo(a european thing for the people in the USA that are a bit behind)! Tiesto, armin van burren … commersial? well maybe you can think that if you listen to their cd’s but i have heard all of them live many times and there is nothing commercial about their sets. now if you think that they are commersial because anywhere they go they are sellout then thats becaue they are the best at what they do!(tell me people, what house dj is there out there that can fill stadiums for a 7 hour set,i dont know any)

    Hey…

…if you don’t like House, then don’t listen to it. If you like trance…well, you’re dumb! :)

    J/K

Anyways, Drum & Bass is way better than all other types of music. Hands down. :-D

But as far as House goes…at least House has a bassline…and NOT a repetitive horn sounds like EVERY SINGLE TRANCE TRACK OUT THERE!

Thanks for this post! Keep ‘em coming.

Use Musicutter to split compacted files http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/musiCutter-Download-15041.html

Ive found it to split around 95% of the time.

Trance, House, Drum & Bass, each to their own, no amount of arguing is gonna change the minds of anyone……….they’re all good in their own way.

    p.s but Trance rules :-)
