How many of you are vaiting for next week’s premiere of ABC’s remake of “V”? I am :) Well, I haven’t watched the original series before, and I don’t think I’m going to, but some of you might be interested. So I’m gonna post the first 2-part mini-series of “V” for you tonight. Released by UKi, check it out!

A race of aliens arrive on Earth in a fleet of 50 huge, saucer-shaped motherships, which hover over major key cities across the world. They reveal themselves on the roof of the United Nations building in New York City, appearing human but requiring special glasses to protect their eyes and having a distinctive resonance to their voices. Simply referred to as the Visitors, they reach out in friendship, ostensibly seeking the help of humans to obtain chemicals and minerals needed to aid their ailing world. In return, the Visitors promise to share their advanced technology with humanity. The governments of Earth accept the arrangement, and the Visitors, commanded by their leader John and his deputy Diana, begin to gain considerable influence with human authorities……

    The two-part miniseries ran for 200 minutes and was successful enough to spawn a sequel, V: The Final Battle, which was meant to conclude the story. In spite of the apparent conclusion, this itself was then followed by a weekly television series from 1984 to 1985 that continued the story a year after The Final Battle.

    Hav to say great series,can remember flicking the tv on late at night when the folks had gone to kip just to watch this,at the same time was a freddie krueger fan so seeing robert englund playing a numpty alien was funny..top post dudes

    This is a two part mini-series that would have been shown in two two hour slots. The total running time was 197 minutes (the difference in time was to allow for advertising, continuity etc.). However this is a PAL rip so the running time may be around 10 minutes less.

    Back in the day.. yeh freddie krueger was wicked when first came out, 1984 was an amazing year for movies and tv shows, gremlins and ghostbusters, terminator and Stringfellow Hawke was doing his thing in Airwolf lol and course V which at the time was a late night series with the odd flash of tit and scarey green lizard dudes.
    The remake will fail to make same impact as original there are bound to feck it up bigtime lol..

    I agree with #42, appreciate you guys to view the movies before posting the links. There are two movies here in #1 and #4 which are not V The Original Miniseries but Humpday and Damage.

    Does anyone really check which one is the real V The Original Miniseries? Wasted my time downloading the same wrong movies (although Damage was good action about illegal betting fights starring Steve Austin, forget Humpday its so damn boring and uninteresting)
