I think people are a bit harsh about this application... This is something that should have been built into windows in the first place by the way.

The "stop the device safely" feature of windows does only work if all explorer windows and applications accessing the drive is closed... but it assumes you know which ones that is. If you've ever seen a "novice" computer user try to figure that out which apps has to be closed for it to work you know why this application has it's users.

"Hiding of “empty” card reader drives Card reader memory cards ejection one-by-one Returning just stopped device back!"

This could be the most beautifully-written piece of text I've ever read.

@Andrew,

I would consider USB Disk Ejector if it works for Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit as well. I don't think it supports 64-bit systems like USB Safely Remove does. USB Safely Remove officially supports 64-bit Vista.

USB Disk Ejector + Unlocker (When files / folders are locked) = Winner
Anyone? They're free, and much better I think. Please say what you think.

P.S. USB Disk Ejector Options... Start with Windows, Minimize the program after successful ejection, close to tray, start the program minimized...etc
