Do PC owners still really need this? Christ. Mac – single file. Drag & drop in the bin. All gone. No registry entries, no orphan files. Nothing.
Has Vista not sorted all this out for you poor Windows guys?
Come on – upgrade to a decent OS.

  6. MadCatMk2
    June 3rd, 2008 | 06:20

Richie, you make me feel sick.
If you want a decent OS get something linux based.

Thats cuz mac has about 10 applications total available to it. So you don’t know the troubles us windows users go through having 10000x more software available to us. And don’t make me lol, if u think mac is a real computer.

    June 3rd, 2008 | 06:40

    @9: lol :)

This is the best uninstaller. If you still use the windows uninstaller get this now, highly recommended. Because Windows doesnt remove registry keys and let a lot of other stuff behind. Or run CCcleaner.

first of all guys, its a great software

second: mac isn’t a real computer, its an illusion to make people feel good+rob them blind with the over over ubber price.

third, i hate rapidshare, i hate rapidshare, why can u upload it to megaupload? its just 4 mb, and i dont have to deal with the psycotic caps of rapidshare.

    thanks you.

    @5

Lol, Richie, I lost all respects for Apple when they decided to discontinue their own Processor Range. Now all Macs are just PCs… (Yes they all the same, only thing different is their motherboards which have a extra chip called a TPM chip which stores data for copy-protection etc)

Also you do know that Mac OS X Leopard had more bugs reported on release date than Vista did right?

Also the more you go around touting that Mac OSX is better the more you will screw yourself over later! Yes mac doesnt have many viruses at the moment, this isn’t primarily due to the OS being good, this is due to the percentage of users who actually use Macs. Therefore by you trying to convince others into using Mac OSX you just screwing yourself over, since if Mac OSX manages to hold a larger portion of the market than Windows, it will mean the Hackers will start focusing on creating viruses for macs.

Some smarter companies have already started developing Mac OSX Anti-virus programs, knowing that people like Richie will convince more people to go to Mac OSX and then cause a Virus Pandemic when the hackers see that there is more people using OSX than Windows.

@6, Technically speaking Mac OSX is Linux based. in some ways.

Mac OSX is just a operating system which took open source stuff and started selling it.

Both their underlying system is still a Unix Based system.

Yup – MacOS is just a shell overlaying Unix.

Personally, I’d rather have BSD, Solaris or HPUX _anyday_…

Great programme. Yes, there are others that track each and every installation to ensure 100% uninstallation, but these slow down the computer and are huge behemouths that have outlived their usefulness. Your Uninstaller (aside from the crap name) is truly excellent in that it’s a good compromise between ‘tracking’ uninstallation engines and the rubbish method in Windows.

  22. tilerone
    June 3rd, 2008 | 08:51

excellent software. I use this in conjunction with history sweeper or window washer. Cleans loads a Sh*t off the system most apps including windows leaves behind . used for 5 years now.

  23. tilerone
    June 3rd, 2008 | 08:53

NOTE: Some apps on removal still require you to delete the user data folder for the app.

Is this Vista x64 (64-bit) compatible?
Their product descriptions & KB articles on their website say it is compatible with Windows XP/Vista but failed to say which version of XP and Vista.
XP x64 as well as Vista x64 compatible?
    Could anyone confirm?

anyone remember the Quarterdeck Cleansweeper, which can monitor the setup programs and log all activities for uninstall later? It seems the best idea…

Here is a PORTABLE version of Your Uninstaller! 2008 Pro v6.1.1250. It is pre-cracked and does not need to be installed (or uninstalled!). Just extract the single .exe file and go!

I prefer Revo Uninstaller. It’s a very similar program but it’s freeware, it’s slimmer, and it has better options. Here is a PORTABLE version of the latest Revo Uninstaller.

Yes, this is x64 Vista compatible. I’ve been using it for months, nice program. Like an above user said though, for many programs you still have to delete the program folder from the user folder. Seems odd that it will delete registry entries but not a simple program folder.

the good old CleanSweeper does the job very well but hasn’t been updated in ages.

    June 3rd, 2008 | 14:39

hhm.. I’ve been using ccleaner to uninstall, and it seems to do the job pretty well.

How do this compare? (apart from the dag&drop)

i use revo unistaller is freeware and also does the job !

  39. Jackie_Treehorn
    June 3rd, 2008 | 15:35

Program is crap. Still leaves a ton of stuff behind. Get Total Uninstall, that’s a program that will get arod of every single trace of a program.

  40. jason
    June 3rd, 2008 | 17:30

    yeh i agree with jackie

“Total Uninstall” is the only program that comes close to uninstalling programs completely off your system as it monitors each install/setup and detects and monitors all files and reg entries being added or modified on your system.

Great program, its just too bad they have such crappy cracks for it :(

Don’t even try to delete Microsoft products with this one. It delete not only (e.g. office) files but all other shared components (MS obviously) as well, resulting to system fuc**p. Personally I’m using Revo Uninstaller. It’s kickass app almost the same as YU, but completely free and can safely delete MS apps. It’s not an ad but it’s a good advice to you all.

  43. dum
    June 3rd, 2008 | 20:27

are all u posters bleepin r3tarded?
The only sure way of deleting programs completeley off ur computer is to have something monitor everything the program’s setup file is installing.
And the only thing that follows that principle is Total uninstaller.
As a few posters have already mentioned.

Forget this “Revo Uninstaller” and “your uninstaller” cr4p as they cannot guarantee to remove anything completely unless u antie up the “removal level” and face removing unrelated entries. But that still cant guarantee 100% removal.
