Core just released this new version of UltraISO.  I think this application is quite handy when you want to manage/make/copy image files.

Description:

UltraISO  is an ISO CD/DVD image file creating/editing/converting tool and a bootable CD/DVD maker , it can directly edit the CD/DVD image file and extract files and folders from it, as well as directly make ISO files from your CD/DVD-ROM or  hard disk. At the same time, you can maintain the ISO bootable information, thus creating your own bootable CD/DVDs. You now have the power to make and  edit your own ISO files, and then burn them to CD/DVD for your own needs.

UltraISO is in sole possession of the intellectualized ISO document format analyzer, it can process at the present time almost all types of image files, including  ISO and BIN, it may even support new image files which are yet to be created. UltraISO can open these image files, directly extract files and folders, edit it and convert other image files to the standard ISO format.

UltraISO uses the double window unification user contact interface, you have the choice to only use the quick buttons and/or the mouse Drag & Drops, you can handle any CD/DVD image file easily.

    I use this app for a long time now. Since that a update is available, I download it.

    It’s an app to EDIT ISOS, Create ISOS from your DVDs/CDs and convert to multiple formats Ex. .mdf to .iso. It’s not a burning app. Wich means that you can’t burn your discs using this app.

    If you have used this app ‘a long time’ – you would know that this app CAN burn…

    “UltraISO Premium V8.12 and newer version has build-in function to burn a CD/DVD image this way:
    1. Insert a blank or ReWritable CD/DVD into your CD/DVD writer.
    2. Launch UltraISO.
    3. Open the ISO file by ‘Ctrl+O’ or ‘File’->’Open’ menu
    4. Press F7 or choose ‘Tools’->’Burn CD/DVD image’
    5. Click on the ‘Burn’ button.
    6. Click on ‘Return’ when the process is complete.”

    Makes me wonder what they changed, since it’s supposedly the same version.

    anyone know how this compares to img burn? i’ve been using that, an it’s o.k., but sometimes the iso will be too large for a dvd (not by much), and it won’t do much to make it fit. also, with imgburn, it takes a long time. does anyone know if this is different/better than imgburn, or can recommend something comparable?

    @17, ImgBurn only burns Image files to disk
    UltraIso allows you to open,edit,save and burn image files.

    UltraISO is quite handy for merging extra files into ISOs. I use it alonside ImgBurn, which is also another great app. I reconmmend both UltraISO and ImgBurn to anyone whos is repackaging ISOs.

    UltraISO only ISO burning to use. Burns ISO perfectly never have any problems.

    ImgBrn is much faster for burning DVD’s. UltraISO is slow as hell for burning DVD movies, but it has more features. I still use it for creating virtual drives and building ISO’s. I never really use it for anything else, but it comes in handy at times. I have the previous version, so I’m going to check this out. Thanks for the post!
